There will be a new highest total CWS attendance record set tomorrow just FYI.

You from Omaha? How crazy has the State turnout really been compared to past teams?

This crowd is nuts. Arkansas brought a ton a few years ago and LSU is the other crowd that would compare. The LSU consistency is still peak stuff. MSU making their presence known as an Omaha mainstay though. This honestly feels like the LSU crowds I grew up with at Rosenblatt.

The SEC teams outside of Vandy are usually awesome; sorry Vandy your program is incredible, but not many fans come to town.

Texas is usually really good up here and other Big 12 schools show out decently b/c of proximity I assume.

NC State was awesome this year, the ACC crowds outside of Miami are pretty small and boring usually so it was cool to see them show up big.

The only great fanbase turnouts for the Pac are Oregon St and ASU if they can ever get back here.

The few locals we talked to around us at the game echoed the LSU/Texas/MSU thoughts.

The folks at the Zoo (and the zoo itself) were awesome! We and the 6 year old had a blast.

It’s why ,in addition to boredom, that I hate baseball. The same two teams can play back to back and each win or lose by ten runs. Imagine Bama and OSU playing for the title on consecutive weeks and Bama winning by 28 points one week and losing by 28 the next. Sure there are probably a few scattered examples but it happens every week in baseball. It’s too pitcher driven for my taste.

Yeah, it's so unlike college football for a team to lose at home to a certain team and then have a chance for a convincing redemption win against that same team later in the season. What a horrible way to decide a national champion that would be.

Well, there are two fans in particular who like to make their presence known.

To me the unpredictability is more exciting than knowing Bama is gonna win by 3 TDs every single game

As is with most people. But when you're self-worth is tied directly to the success of a sports team, you don't necessarily like the unpredictability. It's not great for one's mental health.

Unpredictability does not always equal excitement. I happen to appreciate consistency and repeatability in sports. I enjoy when a UM-Milwaukee beats a Michigan in March Madness, but nobody is watching a UMW vs Western Ky championship game, even though no one “predicted” it. I hate Duke but I will watch to root against them, for example.

I know there is a big faction of LSU and Texas fans that make the trip whether their team is in the tournament or not. Seems like we had another decent turnout this year according to my friends were there.

Everyone I’ve talked to said Miss State has really taken over this year. Good stuff

The Vandy coach planed for three games by holding his best pitcher out of the second game. Looks like a given for Vandy to win. They have the best pitcher in the NCAA.
