Why are so many people mad at Vanderbilt?

They didn't cause this. What the NCAA did was ridiculous. No one wants anyone ill,but these are 19-21 year old boys,not 75 year old women who were scheduled for church outing to a museum. Be annoyed with the NCAA.
If your team were in Vandy's shoes would you expect them to withdraw from the tournament? Would you want them to forfeit the championship series?

Not until an elimination game has been played between them and NC State. Vandy should be getting tested right now but they arent. This is Bama REC shite.

True, but out of a sense of fairness, I believe most folks will now cheer for the other side of the bracket in the championship. I know I will.

I would expect the NCAA make them play Texas for the right to play State in the championship series.

there are a lot of people on Twitter that said Corbin/Vandy were demanding NC State’s entire roster be tested yesterday right after initial lineups were submitted, which led to the delayed start

Same, they weren’t my first choice anyway but the Vandy fans here are pretty awesome. I wouldn’t have been rooting against them had this not happened.

I’ve learned that this website can be more of an emotional dumping ground than a gathering of angsty and irrational teenage girls. I wouldn’t make the mistake of assuming any responses here are a valid sampling of the population at large.
In the real world, my bet would be most people feel badly for NC State, but few blame Vandy and take a more “don’t hate the player(s), hate the game” approach.

Yeah. Had Stanford not fallen apart with 2 outs in the 9th everyone would have been blaming them instead of Vandy.

I don't think anyone is mad at Vanderbilt, but I don't see how they could move forward with anymore games with a good conscience.
