Not sure what it is, but Oregon is always "in the lead" early on top rated kids in MO, rarely do they ever land them, though.

Got it, makes sense other schools see this too, just never look out for that

Got a few things to share from a "sauce" of mine - just be warned some of this is speculation from my side:
Today's NSD. Today will be pretty eventful in the CFB recruiting sphere but for Mizzou, I'd imagine that today will be silent. I don't think Mizzou has anyone planned today - Drink has his guys signed and that'll probably be end-all be-all. I could be wrong but that's what I'm thinking.
I've heard that y'all had your Junior Day recently. Multiple recruits from '24 and '25 classes have been in Columbia recently. Recruits loved it to be frank, and I think a lot (especially some high-profile recruits) are coming again in spring once the dead period is over. Good things are coming along!
Mizzou just offered Joseph Dodds today along with Texas Tech, UTSA and Sam Houston State (who recently just became an FCS school). Dodds is from Texas and might be ranked using the star system soon. Key thing is that Mizzou probably isn't done with Texas, they'll be on the attack soon and it's probably a perfect time to do that.
Those are my thoughts and info, hope you like it from a friendly opposition fan
Edit #1: Y'all can call me Honor, I've lived in St. Louis during your stint in the Big 12, you guys were the most likeable team to me. A lot of my family still lives in St. Louis and I've made friends there - so it's nice being in here and giving you guys news about recruiting

Does anyone know if the roster is now filled up and there can't be any more add ons like transfer portal addition from the next transfer portal when it opens up again in May?
Posted on 2/2/23 at 7:13 pm to TrueLefty
I think we are full.
So, any new portal additions, will be followed by someone entering the portal.
Also. Has anyone heard if Miami C Jahki Clark is planning to visit Mizzou?
I know there was a mutual interest when he hit the portal

"Change of plans"
He's going to SMU. Just announced it
Seems like LSU was a strong suitor for his recruitment but he eventually went to a place that offered him more playing time. I think it was between SMU and LSU at the end and he picked SMU
Guess I was wrong but I'll try my hardest to bring you good nuggets

Intel is always appreciated.
Guess we're going with last year's transfer from Buffalo, Bence Polgar at Center.

Or Tollison. Obviously he wasn’t physically ready to play this year and that wasn’t the plan but the coaches have always been high on him and he’s a VERY good athlete for the position. None of that matters if you are just getting overpowered consistently, which he was, but hopefully that won’t be the case with another offseason of S&C
We shall see

Honor I’ve posted a few times about SMU recruiting before you were on the Mizzou board. They guarantee $36,000 to every football and basketball player. Most schools Collective’s won’t pay a lot of players that especially lineman. SMU is ranked 7th and the only non-P5 ranked in the top 50 in the transfer portal. They are going to steal a lot of players from bigger schools.
SMU signed 4 offensive lineman from the portal this year and 1 was from Mizzou.
Kid that is a Center from my town transferred to Colorado, but was looking at SMU and New Mexico State. We thought he was transferring to NMSU after the 2021 season, but he chose to stay close to home. I guess he couldn’t pass up playing for Deion and Petrino this year. Rather have him starting Center at Mizzou instead of Tollison or Polgar.

SMU knows they can't get the death penalty this time around

SMUs success in the portal comes from to 2 words. Rhett Lashlee, HC and former OC at Miami. He built a pipeline of former Miami players to SMU this year. Probably the only year it will happen.

On Friday night, defensive lineman Tyson Ellison announced his commitment to the Tigers as a PWO. Ellison is the son of Atiyyah Ellison, who currently serves as Missouri’s director of player development. Atiyyah also played for the Tigers in the early 2000’s and was a 2-time All-Big 12 selection.

Cam’Ron Johnson All-Conference OG from Houston would be a great pickup. He plans on entering the portal this Spring.
He was recruited and played for Mizzou’s new OL coach Brandon Jones. He didn’t decide to enter the portal until Jones was hired by Mizzou

Cam’Ron Johnson down to Mizzou and USC.
Yahoo says USC biggest need is DL, but are taking a run at Johnson. They lost a OL in the portal and could use a extra OL.
247 says Mizzou is a team”treading water in the SEC” that needs “more talent on offense”, but has a “salty defense”. USC has taken 12 kids in the portal and are returning their QB that is the Heisman Trophy winner.

USC needs defensive linemen more than any other position players, but another offensive lineman is certainly valuable, given the recent loss of Courtland Ford to the portal.

Former Houston offensive lineman Cam'Ron Johnson has received a 247Sports transfer grade of 89, the highest possible 3-star rating, and is considering USC and Missouri according to Clint Brewster. Johnson started all of the Cougars' 13 games at left guard last season as a redshirt junior, earning First Team All-American Athletic Conference honors.

USC has been active in the transfer portal again this offseason as the Trojans have taken 12 transfers to date. Coach Lincoln Riley will look to capitalize on what will likely be his last year coaching Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, who projects as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft according to most experts.

Missouri, on the other hand, has been treading water in the SEC as a roughly .500 team over the past few seasons under coach Eliah Drinkwitz. The Tigers sport a salty defense that could be among the SEC's best, but they could use more talent on offense to help out whoever starts at quarterback between incumbent starter Brady Cook, 4-star Miami transfer Jake Garcia and promising redshirt freshman Sam Horn.
