Lost interest in Auburn. As 20+ year fan

Always liked the board but I checked out after Gus kept letting me down. I still repped AU as always but the excitement was gone. In all honestly I haven’t thought much nor had high hopes for our newest hire.
Could someone more knowledgeable than me (I’ve watched 4 AU games in 2 years) gimme some cliffs on what I should expect since I’m unaware I what time expect?
Nix still meh?
Online still not jellin?
Defense?
Special teams?
Someone please tell me we are using wrs better and TEs at all??

Why would I be banned? lurk sometimes but stay within the rules. I love Auburn football above any other team. I’ve just not been as big on it lately due to having a so so team. I still hoped they won them all but Gus was just to inconsistent and I lost interest besides in spirit. Hopefully it won’t be more of the same but I expect it to take a cpl of years to even notice which is kind’ve nega I guess.

And just as a side note, nobody else really knows what to expect going forward. I don’t think the last two seasons will have a lot of impact on what we’re doing in 2021 with a new staff, offense, and defensive schemes.
So we’re all just waiting to see it. Not sure we’ll even have a full perspective on where this program is headed until maybe 2022.

A fan who has a life outside of Auburn football.
I can put up with a lot, but the year in, year out of Gus Malzahn suckage killed my interest in Auburn football as well. I think I watched four games last season.

I'm not at the point you are where I'm not watching games anymore but my interest is at an all time low. Between soul sucking Gus, a lackluster hire, abysmal recruiting, and college football starting to suck in general for a litany of reasons it's been a struggle to stay engaged these last few months.
Maybe once fans can go to games again I can get back on campus and rediscover the passion and maybe the new coaching staff will shock me but I feel you man. The buzz and morale around our program feels really really low right now.

I’ve been a huge fan even in the early jason Campbell days. I’ve endured many of whirley birds. And up the middle 3 times, punt. Repeat. I didn’t quit caring just because we weren’t good lately. It just wasn’t exciting anymore. I’ve got life and other stuff happening and purely wanted a more knowledgeable perspective. I gave the reason why. Some of you seem to lack reading comprehension. I never said I was being persecuted. What a bunch of drama queens “oh no, he didn’t pretend he was a die hard expert, we should ridicule him” that’s how a few of you sound. Internet college boards are serious business and you better watch your comments bro lol. I Remember now why this is a dying forum. Let it burn and all the soft bellied boomers can just stay in Their Facebook groups and sunshine pump. I’m getting hate for nothing other than speaking a truth that at least 10+ people lack the sense to understand and that’s about it. Old people. When will they learn.
