Anyone have a breakdown of kids drafted by state? Georgia has a few, and I know Flarda will have some.

Texas is up there as well.
I would guess Florida would have the most.

I know. Fixed. He was committed to LSU before us and my memory was off from 2016 when he committed.

Texas and Florida are the top 2. Georgia is above Alabama, but Alabama is above Louisiana.
All the above states are top 10 I believe.

I would like to see a final count. In years past, AL/MS/LA are the leaders per cap. AL and MS have half of FL population, but typically put out as many NFL players. Quality of athlete is high in this area.

Please stop with "per cap" comparisons. It means little
Per participant is a much better index and it would be Florida by a big margin.
Raw numbers are the only thing that ultimately matter.
If ya really want to get into "per capita" numbers here ya go GA #1 and LA #2

Per capita is used to compare output of different population sizes. In 2020, MS had 8 NFL with a population of 3 MM. GA had 21 NFL with a population of 10ish million. Very good for GA. However, if you actually read my post it had nothing to do with Georgia. It was comparing the output of AL and MS vs FL. It wasn't a dig at UGA, but you somehow got rustled by the statement.
ETA
TL;DR per capita is a very useful tool to compare outputs of different population sizes. We use it for GDP.

I don't care if anything is a "dig" at Georgia and if you actually read my post I said "per participant" is a much, much better way to make these comparisons (no idea way this concept is so hard to grasp) and if I had to guess Florida and other states would be higher than Georgia in this category.

What? LOL
Do you want me to explain to you why "per participant" is a much better way to calculate which states produce NFL talent?
It's not too difficult.

So this is a method to make you feel better about having more of your young population sitting at home playing video games?

I think his point is that it puts certain populations at a disadvantage. You have a state like Florida, for instance, in which a lot (ton) of people move to Florida that are aged and beyond the ability to play. You have states that are aging and some that have a younger population base. A more accurate measurement to see how good kids and coaching is by doing it by the number of kids playing. More kids would be playing down south, for instance than in the extreme northeast.
The more kids you have playing, the more kids you should have getting drafted into the NFL. You can have a huge population base but fewer kids playing playing football. My guess is northern states have more kids taken away from football because of bad weather, playing Hockey etc.
(At least that was my take on what he said....I could be wrong)

No idea why folks can't comprehend or get offended by a much more reliable method in regards to calculating which states produce NFL talent.
See post above by DL.
Why should you count aged retirees who move into a state like Florida as part of a "per capita" population pool that will play or has played HS FB in a particular state?
Other states may not provide much opportunity when it comes to facilities and coaching.
Don't worry though, I would still assume Mississippi and other southern states rate pretty high in the per participant to NFL rankings...seems to be very important to you folks.

I don’t know after the first round but I do know Louisiana had two guy drafted in the top ten.
Posted on 5/1/21 at 3:22 pm to FirstCityDawg
Are you doing it by birth or where they graduated from high school?
Posted on 5/1/21 at 3:23 pm to RD Dawg
Florida has the oldest population in the nation so yeah per participant is a better metric honestly.

I also saw a per participant ranking from a few years back that had South Carolina in the top 3 I believe.
