I have a thread that I started over on the OT the other day with a lengthy synopsis of the overall 2011 Super Outbreak. I also included numerous links and videos for many of the tornadoes that occurred in Mississippi and Alabama that day. I know this thread is obviously going to be focused on the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa (and later Birmingham), but I did want to share this thread for those who want to read about the broader outbreak that impacted so many places throughout east Mississippi and Alabama.

Here is the thread: LINK /

Very comprehensive collection of info. Can’t believe it has been 10 years.

The morning squall line was my alarm that morning. We lived kinda between Inverness and Hoover, just south of 459, about 4 miles from Cahaba Heights. Woke up to the sound of 4 trees landing on our roof.

Not a great alarm, that I promise you.
