Is LSU baseball getting better, or is Ole Miss getting worse?

After starting 1-8 in league play, LSU has now gone 5-3 since.

After starting 7-2 in league play, Ole Miss has now gone 2-6 since.

Will admit I am surprised by how Ole Miss is playing lately after watching them in Arlington to start the season.

Ole miss is in trouble
Lack of timely hitting and poor bullpen will doom them if they don’t figure it out soon
Will bianco survive a collapse?

We are getting worse. Our best hitter tore his ACL, our usual Friday night starter didn’t throw this weekend, our bullpen is up and down, and we are a poor situational hitting team. This is a much different squad than the one that went 3-0 in the College Baseball showdown at the start of the season.

Our bullpen has no confidence. Our hitters can never hit the timely hits. I saw yesterday where our bullpen has an ERA of 11.19 the last eight SEC games

Nikhazy should be coming out of the bullpen. He's averaging 6.1 innings a start and a .86 era in conference play. I wish there was a stat for this but I'd like to see Myers, Miller, Burton, and Broadway's numbers when brought in the 8th or later. Then compare them to when they come in the 6th inning or later. To me it's glaringly obvious that our starting rotation can afford to diminish because at this point we're not even showing anything for how good they are.

LSU has the talent at the top of the lineup to be a thorn in a lot of teams sides. We aren’t good at all, but we’re going to be a pain for someone in a regional just because of crews, Morgan, etc.

It's both. While LSU is certainly playing better, w're not an elite team by any stretch. Ole Miss may be in trouble.

We should have won the 2nd game of the South Carolina series. That really hurt us.

Those are pretty dang good numbers. Not sure why you’d want that out of the pen

Our issue hasn't been whether or not our starters perform. And we've seen the rotation without nikhazy this year be good enough. We've also seen him throw on short rest in the past.

We are not a good team. The last 4 weeks have proven that. Anyone that tries to say we are good is a homer and needs to take off the red and blue glasses

I can’t speak for LSU but an Ole Miss bullpen that I absolutely expected to improve appears to have no intention of doing so. We are the same team, scuffling and hoping the offense can score a shite ton of runs.

I saw Tech hammer Ole Miss in Ruston. They just didn't look like a very good baseball team.

I’ve never seen anything like it. Not one of them can put up zeros.

For what’s it’s worth, I’m not yet ready to quit on our bunch as a fan. That said, we surely looked bad last night and I have to wonder if the loss of Elko sort of was a lasting gut punch. It shouldn’t be but I wonder. Lastly, this could be it for Bianco. Never been on that train, but it might be time.
