Martin is washed up, SCAR needs a new coach too.

What am I missing? Martin took you to a Final 4 in 2017. I admit, I don't follow your BB program. Why is he failing?

Honestly, this sucks for the rest of the SEC. Musselman is a great coach and will do great things at Arkansas.

They’re 57-59 since the Final Four run and haven’t come close to making the tournament since. I would guess that one run was more of a fluke than the norm.

IDK, being one of the top 10 highest paid coaches in college basketball seems like it probably matters a little bit.
You piggies sure are getting triggered over an honest question about his buyout.
Musselman is an NBA guy. He will likely return at some point. If that upsets you, I'm sorry. It is what it is.

Yeah, I've said several times that I think he eventually leaves Arkansas for the NBA so that's not exactly a hot take. The only thing that might keep him here is that he has a young family and is already 56, so uprooting his family and jumping into the NBA lifestyle around 60 may not be something he (or more specifically, his wife) wants to do.
And I'm not sure exactly how pointing out that he is now one of the 10 highest paid coaches in all of America is being 'triggered'. A bigger buyout would be nice, but if he continues to be highly successful and another college program wants to poach him they better be willing to drop $5-6 million a year to do so. Sorry about being poor, but please don't project your insecurities on us.

Don't forget Mizzou and Florida. Both fanbases are unhappy with current staff results. I bet both get fired next season. If Martin can get SCAR back on track then the SEC will be rough.

And when he does after winning a Natty at Arkansas, y'all will still be stuck with Howland

How do you know Muss is an NBA guy? Did you ask him?

4 million a year, 150,000 raise per year just for making the tourney...
2 automatic extensions following the first two NCAA tourneys.
1.5 million retention bonus following year 5....
So, you fire a coach... pay that buyout, pay the buyout for muss, and by that time add 5 million a year to pay him as well.... Not considering the retention bonuses... etc.
Nah... We good!
