I am in the minority, but I think he will make a great pro.

Last 5 games against teams that finished ranked
Justin Fields
2019 Clemson: 30/46 320 1 td 2 int
Indiana: 18/30 300 2 td 1 int
Northwestern: 12/27 114 0 td 2 td
Clemson: 22/28 385 6td 1 int
Bama: 17/33 194 1 td 0 int
99/164 (60%) (1313 yards 8ypa) 10 td 6 int
Big Mac
Texas AM: 20/27 435 4 td 1int
Georgia: 24/32 417 4 td 1int
Florida: 33/43 418 5td 1int
Notre Dame: 25/30 297 4td 0int
Ohio State: 36/45 465 5td 0int
136/177 (76%) (2032 11.5ypa) 22td 3int
But to be fair, Mac was on a completely stacked team whereas Ohio State is completely devoid of talent

Well he won’t have any pressure from the fans...
...Since most 49ers fans have stated that they’ll quit being fans if they traded up to take this lard arse at #3

Oh good. As long as the Saints don't draft him. We don't need any bama players.

Funny how these average kids develop because they have the BRAINS (like Mac and Burrow) and these can't miss guys fall because they make bad decisions and don't completely understand the game. The guys who have the freakish physical skills and understand the game at the highest level (Russell Wilson, Mahomes etc) don't come along too often. How many mistakes did Mac Jones make? That's how you become a top pick,-fundamental skills, ball placement, accuracy, moving the chains, etc.

This sounds like something the Washington football team would do.
I have seen how really good college QB's, with not a lot of arm strength, fair in the NFL.
Exhibit A......Danny Wuerffel.

Mac Jones was deadly last season. He was #1 in the country in completions, completion percentage, passing yards, yards/attempt, adj yards/attempt, passing efficiency rating, total yards, and yards/play. On top of all that, he was a Heisman finalist, won the Davey O'Brien Award, won the Golden Arm Award, and lead an undefeated team to a national title.
I don't think it's that much of a stretch to consider him a top 3 or 5 pick, considering that other players (like Cam Newton and Joe Burrow) have also been drafted high after only one great year. The idea that playing on a team with other very good players disqualifying him from being drafted high is fricking stupid - Joe Burrow played on an equally talented, if not better in terms of depth, offensive unit than Jones did this past year. If Trevor Lawrence wasn't the media's poster child, Jones would probably be the #1 overall pick.
