I also think you have the NBA to contend with. I think Oats is the real deal. I have a tough time seeing him at Bama long term
I would say the same if he was at LSU. Hell I said the same in Wade second year before he went all mafia on a cell phone

Is Indiana still a blue blood though? This is the same discussion we have all the time with Nebraska in football.

Now we need to worry about the NBA and all of college basketball. And Oats hasn't made his way out of the sweet 16 yet.

Never underestimate some of those programs wanting "one of their own." Plenty of great coaches never went to a blue blood: Jim Calhoun, Scott Drew, Mark Few, the Villanova coach.

UCLA and Indiana certainly aren't blue bloods at this point in time. They've both been dumpster fires for 2 decades and don't carry the cache anymore of their great 60's (UCLA) and 70's (IU) runs.

It takes a special kind of basketball stupid to think that UCLA is still a basketball blueblood. They may be barely above the basketball equivalent of Nebraska football.
