His personal best 10.53 last year so I’d expect that # to drop considerably.

That dude is going to be a problem for defenses next year. Soften them up with Spiller, then, when they're gassed, hit 'em with Achane.

Do you know his 40 time?

Pretty sure it's sub 4.5.

I was thinking sub 4.4. He has this quick burst we normally see in quick receivers, like Waddle. He might win the punt returner job this year.
Edit, Since I know his 100 time, I found this site that has a chart that estimates his time at about 4.4.

I would put zero faith in that chart. Fast twitch is highly non linear.
Easy to say he runs a fast 40 but predicting it? Naw.

I'm not saying it is accurate but aTm has no listing of his 40 time and neither does a recruiting service from 2019, so it is the best guess for now. His initial burst is good and that is what matters most, and his top end is good too, as evident by his success in track. I think he will be a special player. Possibly even an Aggie legend.

He's also only a Freshman getting his first serious T&F coaching from the best in the business with Pat Henry. He will get faster and the cross training with football will show results there as well.
Main thing is there aren't many guys that are going to catch him if he gets daylight and if you have seen his film he was already elusive and can bounce off hits. Dude covers distance in a flash.
Also love the Jimbo has made it a priority in recruiting to go after speed and to leverage T&F. Going after the raw 3/4 Star guys who are blazing fast. Love the 4/5 Star fully developed guys of course but if you are going to take shots I'd rather take them on guys that are burners if they are skill players or can bench press F150's if they are Lineman.

It's hard to drop that significantly when you are already that fast.
You guys have a great program. I am jealous.

From what ive seen, it's hard to turn that track speed into football acumen.
Bennie Brazell was extremely fast and got on the field at LSU, but just wasn't able to be a star. Achane is doing both.
