Kirby stacking 5* talent like cordwood and players forgoing millions to return to college? Why that's just a guy working hard and doing the right thing, y'all. Nothing to see here. Kirby is the pillar of integrity. Shame on you!!

You know there are two other threads about this already... leave it up to a Auburn fan to not look around before posting...

This was needed when there are already three other threads on here. Not to mention you conveniently left out the Bama part. You’re such a little whiny bitch

It's not like Auburn doesn't have a few skeletons in the closet themselves. Glass houses and all

I’m not sure why this ever gets brought up as even a semi-rational thought. Nobody is getting paid enough by boosters to leave millions on the table. Saban’s process (and thus Kirby’s) has proven time and time again that coming back for your senior year to boost your draft grade can earn you tens of millions of dollars over a career. That’s a no-brainer.

Yea the signing bonus alone is more than any college would ever pay a recruit. Logical reason for staying is moving up in draft. Perfect example is DeVonta Smith. The guy would have probably been a second rounder with last years class and most assumed Ruggs and Jeudy were better.

He could go top 5 now and that’s a difference of millions of dollars. More than Bama would have ever paid him in 5 years. The 1 extra year made all the difference.

OP doesn't know shite about a process that has pumped dozens upon dozens of players into the early rounds of the draft for over a decade.

None of that was a guarantee. What he got paid to stay was a guarantee.

It’s a common dig at Bama that many opposing fans use. Vast conspiracies about how $aban talk$ his player$ into returning for their $enior $eason. It’s basic math. The difference over a career in being a 3rd round pick vs being a Top 15 first round pick is literally generational wealth.

LOL.

For the sake of discussion - how much do you think Bama pays its players, who are 2nd & 3rd round draft grades, to return for their senior year?

ETA: The average “guaranteed” money for a 3rd round contract is right at a million dollars. Do you think Bama is outbidding the NFL?

UGA and Bama for that matter, had numerous Juniors who declared early over the years and some at UGA got drafted in later rounds or not at all.

Devonta Smith and other seniors who came back to Bama this year were the exception rather than the rule.
