I remember my grandfather loved wrestling back when I was a little kid. He watched it religiously and followed it so closely I could name Dusty/Andre/Ric Flair/Tommy Rich, etc. as a kindergartener.

This guy's voice, more than anyone else's, epitomizes wrasslin.

I just read up on a little on Jim Crockett Jr and he certainly was a huge influence on many people in wrestling. I had no idea.

He is my favorite announcer of all time. He is 90 now and still doing reunion shows.

There was a really good documentary series called the Dark Side of the Ring that highlighted some of the really crazy and tragic things (Benoit, Owen Hart, Bruiser Brody, etc) that happened in wrestling. Excellent and fascinating watch. Cornette made an appearance a couple of times on it. I’d recommend checking it out. Aired on Vice. They did at least two seasons. Looks like it was renewed for a third season.
