I'm just saying the statement is an opinion and not backed up by quantifiable statistics.

Yet you lied about ppg

Its hard to argue that the 2020 defense was "miles better" when 2019 Alabama's opponents averaged 18.6 points per game and 2020 Alabama's opponents averaged 19.4.

2019 Bama gave up 19.9 points per game. Not 18.6

So desperate to make your point that you just made shite up

Not to mention 23% of 2019 Alabama's defensive stats were against New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Western Carolina........which is silly to compare to 2020 when 0% of their stats were against non-P5 teams. Unless you have an ulterior motive in mind, of course.

2020 Bama's defense was roughly the same statiscally as the 2019 Bama defense despite playing against covid/opt out depleted teams all year.

Bottom line is 2019 vs 2020 Bama Defense is basically similar at best. At worst, 2020 is a lesser version of 2019 because they faced significantly crappier offenses.

Make no mistake, Burrow and co. would have carved the 2020 Bama D up worse than they did to the 2019 team.
