According to records, Will Muschamp was paid out by South Carolina in December. He agreed to less than the $15.3 million he was owed (installments) in exchange for $12.9 million (lump sum):

Nice payday. Muschamp should get a job as an analyst and just retire

That was the better play than the vol strategy that has backfired in their faces.

It’d be hard for me as a person not to just say frick it after a couple of signing day and tanking for a 8 figure payday.

Imagine sucking off a 17 year old for 3 years and then the last week of his recruitment he changes his mind and knowing if you get fired you get 15 mil?

Man I would just throw in the towel and get my retirement check. That’s why I’ll never be in that position though

Problem is the ego on most coaches can’t stand the fact that they sucked
At least as a head coach you don’t have to put up with the bs assistants have to and do all the grunt work and miss all your kids growing up

Dollar for dollar Muschamp may be the worst HC investment ever combining Florida and USC.

How much has he made, in buyouts, from Fla and USC?

Amazing. Be a failure at your
job as head coach---even in your supposed
specialty (D)--then paid millions just to go
away. Muschamp's fault ?----Nope, anybody
who agrees to draw up a contract to let this
happen.

Technically you are correct.

He is not officially on the staff but he has been working with the program in an unknown capacity for the last few weeks.
