Does Mac Jones remind anybody else of a young Tom Brady?

His decision making (intelligence), passing accuracy and command of the offense reminds me a lot of Brady....plus neither can run with the ball.

When he starts to run he reminds me of Brady trying to run.

Mac does have a lot of those intangible qualities in terms of accuracy and movement inside the pocket. Not sure his arm is as strong as Brady's was when he was younger.

Many people don’t understand that Bama’s offense is RPO all the way. It is set up that way. You rarely see Mac look to the sidelines - he is in full control of what happens based on the defensive look. The kid is very smart, can take apart a defense by the looks, and delivers a fantastic ball to the receivers (most of the time in stride).

He’ll be a very good pro.

Only thing about Jones that reminds me of Brady is they both have different names

This will end up being one of the biggest knocks against Mac and his translation to the pros.

brady always had just an average arm. Good enough to make all the throws needed, same as mac. Mac has an above average arm, no problem throwing 50 yards with accuracy. What set brady apart was football iq, timing, accuracy, desire to win. Mac has all that too. Neither can run but both have really good movement within the pocket and great awareness

This is almost identical to what was said about Tua and he was benched multiple times for Ryan Fitzpatrick

I dunno. There are a lot of RPOs these days in the pros. Bama’s was not based on a QB run though. We’ll see - but you may be right, there may have to be some adjustment from him.

No doubt Jones is smart, can read a defense and makes good decisions....but to say he reminds me of TB.

Not yet....hes good but Brady is awesome. Only time will tell....Jones has a long ways to go before I put him up there with TB

No, Tom Brady is a 7th round pick and wasn't in the talk of Heisman.
JASON WHite is more comparable.

Yep...that's what I was eluding to. Nobody should be surprised to see him land on a Belichick team.
