People don't throw at Surtain at all. They avoid him like the plague.

No, I think he doesn't like to hit people.

It’s late but if we were having this conversation at another time there was a video I saw that was an analysis of Stingley last year and had a ton of his hits. I don’t think he’s afraid of contact at all actually

Judging from the stupid idea you had starting this thread, I'd say you can't afford to lose many more.

My apologies, it just seemed like something dumb you'd say based off you thinking your CB is anywhere near Surtains level.

It's hard keeping track of which L1U poster has which idiotic take on football on which day.

Surtain NEVER impressed me. Had you
Watched the SECC game you'd see why

Have seen Surtain get beaten many times only to have the QB throw uncatchable passes Like all bama defensive backs he holds and grabs all over the field. Most on this board know very little about football or can’t see past their crimson colored glasses.

Surtain has never faced a top WR. And if their is one he doesn’t cover him.

Saw it with Chase last year.

Does LSU allow their defensive players to pick who they cover?
Can't say for certain, but I doubt Saban allows this at Alabama.

Both are elite CBs. I agree with OP. Not much seperates them.

His first big moment at Bama was 2018 when he was brought in to replace S. Smith in covering DK Metcalf vs Ole Miss.

Metcalf torched Smith on the 1st play of the game for a 75 yd TD. Metcalf only got 1 more reception in the game finishing with 92 yds.

A lot of truth in that statement sir, I agree!

Oh, so Surtain is going first round because of high school hype.

Perhaps because they're not biased toward LSU.

These 2 might be the best cornerback prospects in the past 10 years. Both should be top 10 picks and future all pros. Both schools have had an insane amount of talented defensive backs and I’d say Surtain is the best Bama has had and I’d say the same for Stingley at Lsu, although an easy argument can be made for Patrick Peterson. If I had to pick between the 2 right now I’d say Surtain just because teams admit they won’t throw to his side of the field. That’s more telling than any of the stats that have been listed.

If any of you are near the stadium then stop and tell #24 he can come out from the locker room because #6 has gone back to TitleTown
