The Mond hate is so weird to me. Is he a great QB? No, of course not. But he’s improved every year, he has all the tools, he shows resiliency, he doesn’t pass out drunk in flowerbeds, he flashes signs of greatness, he takes care of the ball. He can drive the car.

For all we know, he could take the step from good to great next year, if he returned.

I don't think there would be a step from good to great, but I definitely would welcome him back.

I think we have seen his ceiling. He is an inconsistent QB because his accuracy is so hit or miss. In my wish list for returning seniors he is not high on that list. I appreciate what he has done on the field but am ready to see if we have someone who is better coming up.

He's a game manager. At this point, a DAMN good one. He will not lose us games basically ever. But he's probably not going to beat an elite team by turning in an otherworldly performance. Which is solid for a QB. But we're talking about more for this program.

Doubtful.

Mond is not going to get any better with another year, he’s at his ceiling. I think his “improvement” this year is mainly due to a better offensive line and running game, not actually better passing mechanics, field vision, etc.

Saw someone else mention, he’s a game manager now that he’s mostly eliminated his turnovers and I agree with that take. There are very few teams in college football outside of Alabama that can win a natty with a “game manager” QB (and even they haven’t had one in awhile since the likes of AJ Mccaron). We need a great/electric QB. Mond just isn’t that.

I do appreciate the games he’s won, but I’d like to see some fresh blood at this point and take our chances on the next generation QB.
