New Orleans got a rare huge snowfall on New Years Eve 1963, so old Tulane Stadium was southern frozen tundra for a day. Bama won the game, 12-7.

The "pre-1990" pennants were great.

Now this is the stuff I love on the board.

Nice find. I miss 12-7 games.

There were 13 turnovers and 23 first downs in the '64 Sugar Bowl. Surprisingly, Alabama was a 7.5 point dog. Probably because Namath was out.

I was five years old on New Years Day 1964. I did not go to the game (I didn't like either one of those teams even back then) but I do remember all of that snow. We had a big snowman in our front yard and spent days throwing snowballs at each other. Only rarely have I seen such heavy snow here since then. It was a lot of fun.
