Bama fired Shula and the power struggle that ensued with Rich Rod / Saban ... Our PTB need to realize you either invest for the future and get the absolute best out there or you will be bottom tier SEC fodder.... They must look in the mirror and make a decision for the best interest of AU. If their own self interest are appeased the program, the university and the City of Auburn will suffer due to the selfishness of an extreme select few. If that’s the case, we need to wash our hands of them and band together the smaller donors to find the best fit we can afford to salvage the situation.

Spot on. If we keep supporting we are telling the idiots with money that they can do whatever they want and we will drink the koolaid. They need to be held responsible in some way.

How do you band the smaller donors together? We aren’t the ones who determine WHO or WHERE to money goes to. Are you saying just stop giving altogether?

You can't. Too many factions with too many beliefs.

No it's going to be more like when they hired Dubose, I'm afraid.

Bingo! That’s exactly what I said yesterday. If we copy anything from Bama, that coaching search is it! We need to identify our target, not say no, then give him the keys to the kingdom- and threaten to ban anyone that screws with the program.

Even Dumbose won an SEC title. It's like Spurrier said "Everyone has won at Alabama."

And it took Bama 38 days to hire Saban.

I’m hoping Greene has truly taken control and can convince his target—whether it be Mario, Sark, Kiffin, Napier, Urban, B Stoops, etc—that the HC will be the HC, can pick his own staff, will not be meddled with, and will answer only to the AD and ultimately the president.

And one more thing, regarding boosters. I hear a lot about how bc they’re paying all this money, they should have influence if they want. That’s backwards.

We need to put stipulations on the boosters, not the coaches. You can donate $10 million but that doesn’t mean you get all the influence you want. If you don’t agree to those terms, don’t donate. Auburn will be alright.

Coaches should coach. Donors should donate. End of story.

That was a fun few weeks. I had so much fun trolling bama fans.

I was driving from New Orleans to Atlanta and we stopped at red lobster in Tuscaloosa for lunch and Saban was going to announce if he was coming to Bama.

Most of the World had the chances of Saban coming to Bama about 35%- 40%.

I was thinking this is going to be so funny when all these Bama fans get turned down again.

The restaurant erupted in cheers, strangers high fiving, people screaming roll tide.

That lunch sucked.
