Maybe all the top candidates will ignore what's happening since it's a fake season and all. I'm sure their agents are telling them it's no big deal.

You guys on here are such idiots when it comes to this. You really think that O is some big retard. The dude has been around the sport a very long time and has been apart of multiple championship teams from Jimmy Johnson to Pete Carrol. 5 total if you’re counting. He has coached some big name guys and coach for some big name guys like Sean Payton. He’s well respected across CFB & NFL despite what some casual fans believe based on the way he talks. He’s not some X’s and O’s Guru like Lincoln Riley. He’s an energy guy and damn good recruiter. Average in game manager & in game coach only as good as the guys he has around him in that regard. Said it a million times.

Dude it’s fricking ole miss. Nobody can go in there and win. It’s not some great job like their delusional “Harvard of the south” fans make it out to be. The stadium holds 60k, student body is like 18k, and their alumni base/fan base is not massive. Nobody will win there. It’s hardly a better job than Vanderbilt if we’re being honest.
He was only fired from there. USC didn’t hire him as the full time HC because their pretentious Hollywood type boosters didn’t like him. He didn’t have the country club look and personality for them. Fact.

I think most coaches that are good enough to coach at that level have big egos and think that they're going to have success. My concern is coaches from other schools pointing out to recruits that the majority of his hires have been failures. Seems like it would be easy to convince the kids that the new hires will fail as well.
