How would you feel if he was hired as HC? He was a very successful recruiter here. He is at Oklahoma right now.

Absolutely not, let him cut his teeth at a g5 school or at least be a Coordinator first.

I would be fine with Shane Beamer. He has worked all over the place and has the connections to put together a good staff. He can recruit too. Way better than Muschamp.

I would be onboard with it for sure

I couldn't feel any worse about being a Gamecock than I have the last 5 years. I'd love to say that to Muschamps face but I don't think it would even matter. He's never, not once wanted to actually win here. I think Beamer actually would give a shite.

Definitely not. We’re at a critical point in Gamecock Football where alumni and booster support is dwindling significantly. We’ve invested a great deal of money in improving our facilities and have had zero ROI. We only keep regressing while everyone around us gets better and better.
Shane Beamer has proven nothing. Why on earth, when our program is desperate for a proven winner, would we take a risk on a guy who has just floated around and hasn’t even been offered a HC role by a G5 school? Recruiting is just one aspect of the job, and we are currently witnessing a “good recruiter” run our program deeper into the dirt.
I get that we’re South Carolina and we always make stupid decisions, but to read that Beamer is actually on some “insider” short lists for HC is very troubling. He needs to prove he can lead a program first, we don’t have the luxury of giving him a few years to figure it out right now. That’s why Freeze needs to be our top priority.

Can we all cut the shite? Literally 2 of the last 3 coaches to win the ship had no hc experience when they took over. In addition, Kirby smart, Lincoln riley... no hc experience. WTH are you guys even taking about.
Any of the beamers, napiers, chadwells etc could come and be a bust. I would argue that banner having first hand knowledge of the steps Kirby and Lincoln took to be successful is just as important. What guys like Napier and chadwell being to the table is offensive scheme. In case you haven't watched, we have no one to catch the ball. Assuming they could actually recruit, which we don't know, by the time they get the talent level where we'd need it to be able to capitalize on a new scheme, we'd have so much tape out there that the scheme wouldn't be an advantage anymore anyway.

If we hire Shane Beamer, we might as well start saving up for another buyout 3-4 years from now.
Just because someone has that coaching last name, doesn't mean they'd be a good head coach. How'd SOS Jr work out for us?

I think Beamer is doing great at Oklahoma and should stay there. Shawn Elliott 'loves Carolina and coached at USC' too. that's pretty much Beamer's platform. naming Beamer as HC would be almost as wreckless as naming Richard Bell HC after Carlen was overthrown.
you don't fire Will Muschamp in the middle of a bizarre flu virus season to hire Shane Beamer. you fire Will Muschamp in the middle of a bizarre flu virus season only if you have a coach lined up with proven results that translate to elevating USC to regularly compete for Atlanta.
you hire Shane Beamer as HC at South Carolina after at least 9 other sitting P5 HCs say no and it's Jan 1, 2021.

No. We need a coach that has a proven record of evaluating and developing talent. We need Freeze. Say what you want about the man's personal business but he can coach
