Wouldn't surprise me a bit. He hasn't been getting much playing time at all. May not be an immediate loss because he hasn't been playing, but he's gonna be good down the road.

His weight has always been the issue, that is why Saban wouldn't let him commit to Bama.

He played well last season in spots. But, we got two stud DTs in last year's class so maybe he thinks he sees his opportunities dwindling. We'll see what happens.

So both the DTs we were after and signed and compared to one another in the class of 2019 are gone

I think he would be dumb to leave. He will definitely be in the rotation next year IMO. But, when has that ever stopped kids from transferring?

Some time I feel like its impossible to keep kids happy these days. Hope he doesn't leave.

Man he visited Florida right before signing day with his whole family and we thought we had a chance. He would be getting significant snaps for us right now. Hope we take a look.

The kid is a 3/4 nose tackle. We switched to a 4/3. He probably has several people in his ear about being out of position and hurting his nfl chances

No, Saban just took a bigger (much lazier) fatass over him in Ish Sopsher who is in the portal already for you guys.
Ika has been a beast here, he is probably upset at lack of playing time, only got 13 snaps against South Carolina this past weekend despite making back to back plays like this:

He is in good shape for a guy transitioning from a 3-4 NT to 4-3 NT.
He is the 2nd highest graded DLineman on our team per PFF
(highest graded interior Dlineman). He has a 73.9 PFF grade so far this season, compare that to Bama's starting NT DJ Dale who has a 55.3.

Sometime those 5* NSD shows are the high point in those players career. You really never know until the get the jocks and socks on day 1.
