Congrats!

That is a long time to be with one woman. I know because I am closing in on 49 in a couple of months. You do look back and say - where did all the time go?

That kind of steadfastness is admirable. Two of my best friends are like that but I've been alone for my entire life.

Congrats! We’ve been married 33 and it still seems like just a couple. Best thing I ever did. I married WAY better than my wife did! We have our moments but the good surpasses the bad about 10-1

So what do y’all find is the secret? I find not talking about anything works. Lots of folks extoll the virtues of communicating but they’re all divorced!

Seriously, I find being willing to accept shortcomings and faults as part of being human without blowing them out of proportion. Is the secret to being happily married. I ain’t perfect by a damn sight and neither is my lovely bride.....but we accept the faults and weirdness as part of life and usually laugh it off. We have a lot of fun together just cutting up and trying to get through life. It ain’t rocket science....just be nice. If both are nice it ain’t hard....

Being nice is a big key! I married a mean, old, ugly woman!
