I actually like Mond more than most A&M fans.

Is Mond still your starting QB on 10/31? Ok then we have a chance.

I mean, Mond is basically a more mobile Franks who occasionally flashes a higher ceiling for 1-2 quarters at a time. They’re basically the same player 80% of the time.

The difference is A&M is better at essentially every other position group on the field, and has a coach with more than 4 weeks of HC experience.

Hogs by 20 on 5 anomalous picks by the Razorbacks. Sorry for your loss.

So last year out first 4 games were Portland State, Colorado State, Ole Miss, and San Jose State. This year, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Ole Miss. Ole Miss may not win the west, but they are definitely better than they were last year. Line the rest of them up however you want:

Georgia > Colorado State
Auburn > San Jose State
Mississippi State > Portland State

But somehow the stats against those teams are supposed to be equal? You are not very good at this.

The main reason we don't like Mond is because he called the entire Association of Former Students racist because they didn't fall lock-step in line with his beliefs.

I acknowledge that the vast majority of current and former A&M athletes feel the same way, but are smart enough to keep it to themselves and not crap all over the donors that pay for their scholarships.

This just wasn’t the case last year. Arkansas was better across the board but A&M won because of a terrific performance by Mond.

I’m glad your $75m coach has built a deeper roster in 3 years than our reasonably priced coach in his first month on the job. Impressive.

On offensive line? Yes
In the secondary? Yes

In every other position? No. Wydermyer didn't emerge until the Alabama game 2 weeks later.

Mond had a slightly above average performance against Arkansas in 2019.

He passed for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns on 23/35 passing with 1 interception and ran for 33 yards on 14 carries, BUT his absolute screwup of a fumble on a simple zone read was returned for a touchdown and put Arkansas back in the game when the wheels were falling off.

On A&M's final drive, Seth Small had to hit a 50 yarder to put Arkansas in a position where they had to score a TD on their final drive because Mond couldn't move the ball worth a damn, after he MISSED a shorter field goal earlier in the game.

It’ll most likely be a 1 score game per usual.

A&M will be a double digit home favorite, is statistically a poor matchup for Arkansas (they struggle with what we do well and they can’t exploit our weaknesses well) and Arkansas has one top 10 road win in the last 13 years.

It’s certainly possible and I wouldn’t even be surprised, but the data will heavily predict a double digit victory for A&M

A&M was a 17(?) point favorite last year and has only covered the spread once since Johnny left (2016).

Yeah Mond’s two turnovers are what kept that game close. Hard to argue we won because of him. We won because Arkansas wasn’t very good and we had enough of a talent advantage to overcome a terrible game.

The interception he threw was an unreal acrobatic catch by a linebacker in the endzone. 8 times out of 10 that's a TD.

The final was really 40-21 (we knelt a minute away from the 1 inch line), so, yeah, we could have still won with 3 less turnovers forced, and definitely would of still won with "only" 5 picks.

Barry Odom will EXPOSE your offense and QB just like he has the last two. Do you REALLY believe in your sugar-sweet lil heart that your Goober Coach and over rated trashbag QB are somehow more capable than two 5* QBs coached by The Pirate and Joey Freshwater? LOL!
Bruh.

Mond will give us 3 turnovers, and since you guys actually use kickers and punters , that will be enough.

Also, we havent been full strength since the 1st Qtr of the Georgia game and the guys that were out were our best CB (well, Hud Island, ahem) , best DE, best DT, best LB, 2nd best LB, best WR (best player period), best O-Tackle, and our only pre-season All-SEC player, Rakeem Boyd. All those dudes will be back for Aggie.

No, I’m saying Fisher has demonstrated consistently that isn’t going to force the ball downfield into 7-8 man zone drops. Kiffin and Leach stubbornly insist on doing it their way. Corral threw the ball almost 40 times, if they cut that in half and run the ball another 15-20 games they win that game going away. Ole Miss could have rushed for 350 yards if they wanted to, but they kept trying to put the square peg in the round hole.

Yes, if Mond tries to throw 40 times into that defense he’ll throw 3-4 picks. We won’t do that though. If Odom is determined to give us 5 yards a pop while dropping 7-8, we’ll take that all the way down the field all day like we have before.

We have two weeks to work on your team, we will know every play you are running pre-snap. Im sure you'll see at least 6, 7 man boxes. You very well may drive the field a lot, but you'll be settling for 3's.
I think it will be a tough game, a perhaps even a 20-something to 20-something game. I just think we'll want it more, be better prepared, and are due. We shall see.
