To kind of put a lid on last night : Which play just kind of broke you?

I can't decide between:
(A) RB draw for 24 yards on 3rd and 27
(B) QB run on slow moving broken play for 6 yards on 3rd and 7
I think A is the winner
Honorable Mention to the 60 yard throw when we let a guy behind us up 11 with like 2 minutes left, but by that point I was numb.

The one in which Moses and a DB were casually jogging to the ball carrier on a 3rd and long. Moses could’ve forced him out and got a punt. Maybe that was A but I feel like it was a dump off pass to the RB.

You are right - they were at like their own 35/40, 3rd and 10 or so, dump pass and it seemed to take us 27 seconds to get to him.

All of them. It was like our guys weren’t anywhere close to being in position to defend anything. It was like they knew where to go that we would not have a defender. It was crazy and the lack of tackling was so bad.

That drive with the 2nd & 22 conversion that ended with them running it down the defense's throat for the score.

1. The draw play on 3rd and 27, for goodness sakes they were going to punt!
2. D. Wright goes for the int and the tight end turns it into a huge gain. Wright had no chance at the pick.

The 3rd and 30 when the RB was shot out of a cannon for damn near all of it.

They were all equally frustrating.
Our defense had no interest in playing tackle football last night.

A we could've stopped that and we couldn't. 3rd down situations kept killing us.

I watched all last season and the first 2 games this season. I didn't expect much last night from a Golding defense.

Their every scoring drive had a play that exposed our shockingly bad ineptitude on defense.
Something that made you go “who are these imposters in Bama uniforms??”
Don’t remember a worse defensive performance except maybe a game or two in Dubose or Shulas dark probationary period.
This was historic.

I was fully prepared to win 56-35
I was not fully prepared to be unable to get 1 stop.

but even then our defense was not consistently bad for an entire season and 3 games into the new season

I do agree with though I guess to be fair, that played better in the last 3 minutes than most of the game. I attribute that to the fact Ole Miss offense was tired after running up and down the field pretty much at will

Yes, a tiny bit. Though Ole Miss stopped themselves with the bad snap, and the last drive of the game was basically meaningless.

C: that play where Anderson had a free run on Corral and whiffed, and then Moses still could have stopped him for a loss but took a terrible angle and missed the tackle. I don't remember when it happened but that was the first time I screamed at the TV in frustration instead of just rolling my eyes and griping about how terrible Golding is.

Our defense is kind of broke, and has been since Pruitt left. So, I kind of expected a shitshow, but not as bad as that fiasco. I was (and remain) very grateful Sark and the offense got us the win.

I broke very early. People were making excuses for Golding last season. I didn’t. Fundamentally, we have gotten worse every year that he has been here. Last night was the worst defensive performance that I’ve ever seen from an Alabama team. The lack of fundamentals tells me that this won’t get better until Golding is gone.
