He's killed us so often and he gets very little push. He's a guard. Leave him there.

he made up for it by snagging that burton fumble.

Yep, and thankfully he seemed to get those bad snaps out of his system the rest of the game.

That and he caught Burton’s fumble in mid-air

Hill had a good game against Auburn.
He bought some goodwill with me.
I didnt like seeing Bennett get pressure from a 3 man pass rush (with a vol nose tackle shoving hill into bennett's lap).

This isn’t just a one game reaction for me. He had bad snaps every game that cost us drives.

Really hope this improves. His first half demotion really hurt the offense.

And replace him with who exactly?
Kid is an NFL player who may even end up a first round pick. He's also the most experienced player on the line - demonstrated by an excellent heads up play.
Just relax and let these kids continue to get better.

We could have replaced him last year with Mays who was incredibly better at it.
Erickson did well when he was in vs Arkansas.

He'll get drafted but it won't be in the first round.

Cleveland is our most experienced player on the line.

He hasn't gotten any better though. How much more do we have to watch.

Experience doesnt mean that you can do your job.
We've had lots of freshman get starts and they still weren't good as upperclassmen.
Hill consistently struggles. I was able to look the other way as an underclassman. But now is supposed to he his time to shine. It isnt a coincidence that 3rd/4th and short has become worrisome since he became the center.

Single handedly saved the game with that fumble recovery ... great redemption moment. Pickens needs to have one of those now.

It was more luck than anything else. But, I loved it!

It's not luck when he is hustling his arse off every down.

Everyone is so ready to write kids off. They may be big, but these are kids. They will make mistakes.
Hill doesn't have a veteran QB. He's more responsible than anyone but Bennett for determining if this offense succeeds or fails - more responsibility this season than most centers.
In an completely new offense they've gone from nearly 100% zone blocking to a complex, modern, pro scheme with little prep time and 4 new starters. If Fromm still here it would be different, but he's the man this year. This unit will excel or fail on his leadership.
So how has he lead? He's been solid with his blocking. Not sure if he's missed more than one assignment all season, and when he does make a mistake he doesn't get down - he just gets back to doing his job play in and play out and leads from the front with as much effort as anyone on the team.
He's done a very good job. I think he's top 3 for offensive MVP.

Remember all the people who wanted LeCounte gone after the LSU game?
Trey Hill is a very good OLineman and anyone who wants him benched is football stupid. I’ve watched him manhandle some of the best DL’s in the nation. He’s not perfect, but he’s one of the best on our roster.

Hill has had some issues with snapping for a few years now, but he is a great interior blocker. I think he'll end up moving to guard in the NFL and will become a very rich man because of it.

Football stupid? I’m not the best on the board but I’m far from football stupid. You’ve watched him manhandle some day f the best? I watched him get obliterated by Kinlaw and Shelvin last year. He has multiple bad snaps a game. He gets very little push. He must be great at calling out the schemes which keep him in the game.

Guard is where he’ll end up and make a ton of money.
