We basically got pushed up and down the field last night.
I know Bama, UGA, and LSU are elite programs.
What is Gus’s plan for us to compete against them?

Recruiting quality linemen is a start. We have two guys starting that had to be moved to OL from DL.

UGA has been putting the line as a priority since Kirby has been there and it showed. That is where Bama dominates from too We have as good of, if not better, skill positions!
We cannot win with our current recruiting effort!

It's going to take longer to fix than Gus has. Those two teams could play 100 times and the result would be the same. UGA has a foundation. We have skilled players and a gimmick offense. There is no way we're beating LSU or Bama or Tenessee with our LOS players. No way.

First. You recruit and land studs
Secondly. You make them mean.
Or you can recruit juco/ 3 star/ and GT and hope that once every three years our OL is serviceable.

Our S&C program is obviously behind others.
Our OL recruiting has been lacking for quite a few years. It shows.

There are just fewer good linemen than any other position.
The top quality offensive linemen recruits go to Bama, UGA, LSU and UF over Auburn.
Auburn then is forced to take linemen who should be in the Sunbelt.

Trying to figure out how the most copied offense in the NCAA is a "Gimmick" offense.
To be honest. Nix stepped into a hornets nest. Playing behind a piss poor offensive line for two seasons now. The pain of suffering through four or five games before the Offensive linemen "gel" is becoming too much to bare. Time to make a change .....There needs to be leadership at the Offensive Coordinator level to dismiss the Offensive line coach. This means that Tank will suffer as well.
You bail out of the pocket because you know the pocket is going to collapse. Sometimes you jump the gun and the Tackle or Guard shocks everyone and wins that individual battle ....Self preservation prevails though, so you bail.

Nix loses no eligibility this year. If he wants to move to a real offense he should. Maybe then ADAG will get the wake up call.
