Missouri won't be an easy win, their QB will be Top 5 by end of the year. This is a trap game for the Vols, especially looking at chit show performance vs South Carolina.

I’d love to hear a Tennessee fans honest thoughts on Nebraska.
Is it rational that they think they are a perennial 10 win national champion blue blood quality program today? Surely you’d rationally think ‘no’ they are an above avg program that has no present day justifiable reason to pretend like they are old money when they clearly went bankrupt not long ago.
Tennessee is Orange Nebraska. Perhaps you will regain elite status in the next decade but you haven’t done anything yet. Your attitude however is as though you are a Bama. Bama justifiably looks at Mizzou in present day and says worst case they can compete with us and make us earn a victory. Tennessee better have the mindset that you can easily lose to Missouri because we are within reach of your program. No matter how many times you lose though, your mind just won’t let you realize your old money is gone.

Nebraksa is in the middle of nowhere corn fields and Knoxville is within spitting distance of some of the best talent in the country. The right coach will bring results. Haven't had one of those in a while. Looking good so far with Pruitt.

The success and downfall are closely related from the administrative level to coaching.
As far as being able to return to being competitive, I believe that it would be easier for Tennessee to bounce back because of the rich recruiting grounds that surround Tennessee.
