Your splitting hairs, the #2 would now be the number 1. He was playing for back up of Fromm as a walk on. I would expect him to expect more having been heavily chased to come back as a scholarship player.

No one knows what anyone is promised but when you leave and the coach and oc beg you back, it a safe assumption you were promised something...

On top of that, I have never in all my years seen a walk-on spoken of so positively by so many players and coaches.

One thing is for sure, though: If he were mainly concerned with starting he be playing somewhere else.

Coach is going to do what's best for the team. It could be Bennett sort term, but I don't think it Bennett in the long run - and neither does the staff by all indications.
