I don't think the sport will ever be the same. I'm afraid we'll see CFB further become a regional sport that is completely Southeast-centric. Ohio State and a few big programs that sit out this season will eventually come back, but I'm not sure how programs like Cal, Oregon State, Purdue, Northwestern, etc. ever recover.

I think the vested BIG schools can survive because of their future TV earnings. Worst case they take out long term loans against it to get em through this year.
Not so sure about the PAC 12

It’s not just football that won’t be the same. Our society is turning into a Brazil or South Africa ....except without a superpower outside our borders to keep the ship right when needed. We aren’t really a 1st world country anymore...we’re something else.

This is a stretch. It's laughable seeing all these commercials about "the new normal". None of this shite is "normal"

where have you been? It's been this way for a while now, at least a decade.

When have NW, purdue, and oregon state ever been a factor on the national scene lately?

For over 20 years now CFB has been centered around the southeastern united states plus OSU/OU plus a few others here and there on various years.

you're implying these schools don't know how to operate an athletic department with a weak football program and all they do is operate an athletic department with a weak football program. no one is more prepared to do this than they are.

Are you high? Football is a money maker even at schools like Purdue. They aren't going to quit playing football just because they're out a year. That's like saying Georgia will quit playing basketball because they suck donkey at it
