I don’t know how anyone really thought it was gonna happen.
This schedule release was just to appease fans.
It’s not happening.

I think it was always a reach that it would start on time. Schools want to see if having students on campus blows up the numbers. We will know by mis September.

Not to mention the wave that likely comes in the fall
Even if they start it doesn’t mean they get to a finish line

Spring football sounds good to me. Crawfish boils while watching.

Lotta smoke that other conferences will follow. Granted these are from woke, liberal writers but the momentum isn’t good right now..

Pat Forde @ByPatForde Prominent industry source: "I think by the end of the week the fall sports will be postponed in all conferences."

Ross Dellenger @RossDellenger Per discussions in the past few minutes, several college athletic leaders from across the country are beginning to privately agree with this quote that Pat tweeted a couple hours ago. It's a sweeping feeling.

Pete Thamel @PeteThamel Source: Big Ten presidents are meeting today. All options are on the table. There's some presidential momentum for canceling the fall football season. It's unknown if there's enough support to make that decision today.
quote:
Brett McMurphy @Brett_McMurphy Power 5 source to @Stadium : “College football season is done. I don’t think everyone immediately follows MAC, but it gives other league presidents 1 more reason to make an easier decision. Biggest thing is unknown long-term impact of COVID & liability issues involved"

Who hopefully don't survive a cancellation of the season with their jobs intact. I want nothing more than to see those pricks suffer economically and personally after pushing for this.

The cases started dropping and hospitals are seeing a drop in patients, so it makes sense.
You'll never convince me these decisions are being made because of this virus.

hospitals are not seeing a drop in patients. My dad is currently in one in a conference room because there are no rooms available.

That doesn't mean there isn't a drop in covid patients.

Don't know.
But I do know when the cases/deaths are going down they talk about ending sports. When the cases are going up, they talked about the season.
There is basically no correlation between their decisions and the virus.
Not to mention the fatality rate is no where near what they originally claimed and if it had been reported accurately from the start we wouldn't have done most of the stuff we've done thus far.
It's a clusterfrick and reminds me of a drunken redneck funeral.

With Trumpf in the WH telling the American People that this thing is "gonna go away and disappear" and that wearing Masks is an issue of "personal freedoms" rather than saving lives and trying to control a Pandemic, what opportunity we had months ago to control this thing and save the CFB Season might have been lost, and now this weekend with those 250K assholes assembling in Sturgis SD, cause they wanna display "muh freedoms", we'll never get on top of this virus
Assholes and their "muh freedoms" is why CFB is at risk, we're losing CFB due Trumpf and his idiot "base"
All you a-hole Trumpf apologists, the situation we find ourselves in WRT CFB is all your fault, half of those 163K dead that's your fault also, maybe overly dramatic, but if the a-hole in the WH knew early on that his "base" was upset at the way he was handling the Pandemic, then he might have made better decisions and we'd have only 81.5K dead instead of 163K dead
I wonder what Trumpf voters feel when they look at themselves in the mirror, knowing how much damage they did to this great Country of ours by putting that clown in the WH

I'm honestly not sad after seeing players, coaches and schools show their asses consistently in the past few months. Maybe this is what the sport needs to rein in all the wokeness

They make it sound like an either/or situation. Play football and get Covid or don’t play and don’t get it.
It’s ridiculous. Most people will get this regardless of what decisions they make.
They should move forward with no fans if they are that worried.

Masks do not save lives. Unless someone 2 feet away is coughing hard and repeatedly directly in your face.
On respiratory droplets and face masks
1. Without wearing a mask, droplets travel to about 70 cm.
2. Wearing a mask, the bulk of droplets will travel about half the distance.
3. However, in both cases, there are still isolated droplets transmitted beyond 70 cm.

You might as well rename it Fresh-Soph FB, very few Jrs & Srs are gonna play FB in the Spring and then have to potentially also play NFL FB in OTAs in May ,and training camp in late July, it'll be hell on their bodies, might even shorten what little NFL Career they might have
