Well there was that pesky war back in the 40's that interrupted everyone but the Georgia football players back in the day, but hey you'll always have the only Heisman winner who couldn't pass an Army physical. Such a glorious history you have there.

Sure it was. Some teams had to start over and others never missed a beat. I'll let you guess which is which.
There were 2 current SEC members who even played in 1943.

1979 was a long time ago, just about as long as 1980.

Vandy and Georgia National championships since 1980

Schedules are harder, UG won the 1980 National Championship, right? or are we claiming 1981?

I fully expect Vandy to go winless this year.

When do you think the sugar bowl was played?

Every year. Since before you were born.

When do you think the final polls came out?

Every year. Since before you were born.

Which blue blood has never had a perfect season?

How hard could it be. I mean, even Vandy has them.

That doesn't shock me. UF was a doormat until Spurrier became the HC. They made up for lost ground in a hurry.

Damn you are just dumb or just being a typical mutt fan. Both are about the same.

1982: Penn State.
1981: Clemson.
1980: Georgia.
1979: Alabama.

List of official National Championships. Clemson would be pissed if you tried to take their 1981 Natty away.

Doormat is a little strong, mediocre would be a better description of the program before Spurrier. The 80's teams under Charlie Pell were strong. The 70's under Doug Dickey were solid contenders. The 60's teams under Ray Graves were competitive. Before that doormat is probably a good description although there were some occasional good teams thru the years.
