Sanford Stadium is by no means dead. I've seen multiple games there as a traveling Gamecock fan and it's been rowdy every time.

I’ll admit it’s pretty dead for the Tech games. Holiday weekend, no name opponent, frequent noon kicks. UGA/Tech in Athens isn’t the hottest ticket.

Stadium size and design are not that big of an advantage in the SEC. Bama and A&M have the nicest stadiums in the SEC, but the noise dissipates easily in both stadiums. UGA has a nice stadium, but isn’t that intimidating. Neyland is old and it is like sitting in a canyon. JHS is old and out dated, but provide the best open air feel of any stadium . Tiger has the best combination of all.

What an idiot. When did boring, entitled old people start getting neck tattoos?

Last time we played in Athens I was there and it was a very loud crowd. I thought they had a nice home atmosphere.

You just described A&M.

I’ve never seen a more LSU -cessed poster than you.
It’s deep rooted
It burns.
It’s marvelous.

Good God you couldn’t even match the content of the OP with the thread title that you chose. A stadium is a structure yet your entire OP is about fan participation. What an idiot!

But anyway, back to the thread title.

Stadiums

1. Bryant Denny- large, updated, nice facade
2. Sanford- large, perfectly situated in the middle of campus, great views over the west EZ bridge
3.Jordan-Hare- large, steep seating makes you feel close to the field
4. The Swamp- large, steep seating much like Auburn
5. Neyland- erector set look but location on the river makes up for it. Steep and encloses the “arena” lime the Coliseum
6. Tiger Stadium- worst of the six but has the most enthusiastic fans

Fan Participation in the stadium

1. LSU
2. Auburn
3. Florida
4. Tenn
5. Alabama
6 UGA

Tailgating

1. LSU
2. UGA
3. Tenn
4. Alabama
5. Auburn
6. Florida

Not sure if you're ranking the quality of the stadium itself or you're taking into account the entire gameday atmosphere... but I've been to 5 of the 6 stadiums. Hoping to visit Florida this year, but in my experience it's been the following. I just went with total gameday experience.

1. LSU
2. Auburn
3. Georgia
4. Alabama
5. Tennessee

I’ve been to games at every stadium on your list, Auburn in #6 and it’s not even close.

Ugly town, ugly campus and nothing special about the stadium

Everyone's experience is going to be different because the quality of the atmosphere is almost always tied to the quality of the opponent. I did a lot of my road games during the mid-00's so I got to see a lot of stadiums during games I've seen mentioned around here as among their loudest - '05 Bama, '06 Auburn and Tennessee and '07 LSU.

To be honest, I think all are great experiences for their own unique reasons. If I had to try to rank them on intimidation/atmosphere, I'd probably just put UF, Auburn and LSU together in tier 1 followed by Tennessee and Bama in tier 2. Never made it to UGA.

If it’s ranked by toughness of playing there:

1. LSU
2. Florida
3. Auburn
4. Tennessee
5. Alabama
6. Georgia

Nothing against Georgia it’s just an open ended stadium that doesn’t produce the noise quite like the others. It’s still one of the best SEC road trips.

Usually after retiring from being a state trooper in Texas or after taking out a second mortgage on their trailer to give to a university they didn’t attend.

Neyland and Tiger Stadium as 5 and 6? Are you an idiot? Sanford is not intimidating at all too.
