It's almost like Gary Danielson was right when he said that to beat Alabama, you need ELITE Qb play. Everybody shits on Gary but he's right most of the time when it comes to actually analyzing football teams.
Bo Nix?

JFF yes. Cam and Burrow no
Cam had the big comeback to solidify it and Burrow's odds skyrocketed after beating Alabama because of the "Heisman moment".
Winning the Heisman usually involves beating a good team. I can name a few that lost those games and didn't win the Heisman if you want.
Tua basically lost the Heisman when Alabama lost to LSU.

I wasn’t sure that’s why I asked.

That game wasn't decided by Nix. 2 pick sixes thrown by Mac Jones took care of that. If you want to conflate that with elite Qb play, have at it. Very rare for a team to overcome immediate defensive scores like that but you knew that.
The LSU game was a different story.

Manziel was better in 13 against Bama, but the Aggy defense was far worse.

But, but, tua was "hurt" when LSU beat bama last year lol. It's funny bc he didn't look hurt at all during the game, when he passed for 418 fricking yards and 4 tds and was only sacked once. He then starts to fake limp after the game when the camera was on him lol. It's funny, bc the very next week he started the game against miss state too and was fine. It's really sad how they tried to fake him being so hurt after it was clear that LSU was just the better team. I guess he would have thrown for way more more than 418 yards and 4 tds, put up more than 41 points as a team and not been sacked one time if he wasn't hurt u know? He was clearly hindered by his "injury" and that is why LSU beat their asses. What a joke. Pathetic.
I don't think that they realise he threw for more yards against lsu than he did against any other team besides South Carolina last year, when he threw for 444 yards. Funny. Yep, it sure sounds like he was really injured huh? More like a cop out for when they lost the game bc they knew LSU was just better than them...which we were. Would have beaten them if we had played them again too and it would have been worse on the scoreboard. LSU was just too damn good and they still can't stand admitting that. I love it.

So my point is well taken then? Bo Nix was/is not elite and Bama still got beat.

Lol, look at all the Bamabillys downvoting my factual response that blows their claims out of the water. That what I thought. Everybody knows what the saw. LSU was ahead by 20 at halftime ffs. They're lucky that tua led them back to within 1 possession. Of course, we didn't have one of our best players on defense, Micheal divinity, which is prob why they had such success on our defense anyway. It would have been much worse if we had him bc he is definitely a leader and was one of our best players as an olb and edge rusher that would have caused hell for tua and their offense. Surely we would have had more pressure on him and more than 1 sack. Yep. RTWFU. Geaux tigers.

Owning LSU is getting best at home for all the marbles last season? Nice.

No, dipshit. Mac Jones gave AU 2 TDs in what ended up as a 3 point game. ANY team that gives their opponent 14 pts is hard pressed to recover from that. Elite qb play is not needed when one team gives up immediate defensive scores to the tune of 14 pts. Are you SPED?
Posted on 3/19/20 at 9:49 pm to TidenUP
The mighty Alabama coming up with more excuses for why they got beat. Hilarious. LSU is going to kick y'all's asses again next year too. What will the excuse be then?

And Bammers want to tell us that this character is gonna take them back to the promised land in 2020.

You understand that is EXACTLY the point I am making? Go back through the thread, read it, and then come back. I know you are a Bama fan but you are nearing Simple Jack territory.
I’ll break it down: you don’t need elite QB play to beat Bama, as Bo Nix is not elite. That was my only point in this thread.
We will work on coloring and numbers next week.

Yeah, tell me about all of the REC conspiracies, billboards, Tom Ritter, Bama refs, SEC offices in Bham, etc that Bama fans claim when they get beat like LSU fans, cocksucker.

Well, based on that logic...
What makes you think Brennan will lead LSU anywhere?
Jones' stat line was way more impressive than Brennan's.

No, idiot. You are conflating AU beating Bama because of elite Qb play by Nix, with Mac Jones throwing 2 pick sixes. 9 times out of ten, you need excellent QB play to beat Alabama. You don't need it when Bama is giving you 14 pts in a 3 pt game. This really isn't that difficult.
