I have been researching pitching as my oldest has decent arm and I am trying to teach him him different pitches. I came across below quote and was flabbergasted.
Any of you been clocked at 90+?

If you are a serious baseball player, one who has put in the work over the years and have at least average coordination, speed, and ability, you can absolutely accomplish the feat of throwing 90 mph.

If you flip the 9 over into a 6, I'm in.

Never clocked it on a gun but I will say I can throw a pig skin over those mountains

77 was my peak...
Had a nephew in Seattle Mariners 3A that could throw low 90's, but let a girl and alcohol derail him. She left him and he started a relationship with whiskey and went to shite.

I have.
Here’s some footage of me last season.
Hoping the Coronavirus doesn’t mess with my velocity this year.

I was a Pitcher and agree that anyone can throw the ball hard with lots of practice and proper technique. However, I don't believe that everyone (anyone) can throw it 90 MPH. The average speed of a Major League Pitcher's Fastball is only around 92. There are lots of Big Leaguers that can't hit 90 and they've played (and trained) all their lives. My fast ball was around 95 or 96 consistantly. I was once clocked at 97 and could throw strikes. But I didn't make it far in the League because good players can hit a high 90's Fastball with no movement.
Movement is the key. Give me a guy that throws a lot of junk and has a natural movement to his fastball everyday.
