It hums when it goes by if it’s a new baseball and the seams aren’t worn down. The mitt makes a completely different sound at that speed. I played with a couple guys who could approach it and it was very demoralizing for someone who threw in the low 80’s max.

Topped out at 75 when I was 15 with really no workout in place. Was 5'2 and maybe 120. Couldn't throw an effective curve ball, or hit one, so opted out of baseball. So much damn mindless, monotonousness practicing in youth baseball when golf courses exist.

I must be lucky! We had 3 guys on our staff that could hit 90+ In high school. They all played D1 ball.

Sorry, busy evening. Main office is in Dallas, had to figure some things out.. Dallas County goes "Shelter in Place" as of midnite tnight. Check email, responded a bit ago.

Welcome to the future folks, social distancing is here to stay. Personally started it years ago by default... it's all good/no worries.

Might be that none actually hit 90.

Our HS rotation:

DRAFTED/signed pitched @ UTexas
DRAFTED/signed NYY MiLB
DRAFTED/1 year San Jac JUCO then redrafted/signed with Rangers Milb
NOT DRAFTED/pitched @ JUCO/Baylor

All thought &/or were reported in 90's. None did in HS, one got to low 9's in college.
