SIAP: Spring Game TV BS

This year, ESPN has decided to not show certain spring games in full.
They will use “whiparound coverage” to show individuals segments of each. Basically like NFL red zone.
Georgia will share a spring game with Bama and Florida.
I don’t get this. At least let us watch the games individually through SECN+.

I get their logic, but I also get yours.
Let SEC Network carry the games in full, and give ESPN the "shotgun" coverage.
The games are interesting to watch if you're a fan of that specific school, but that's about it. A lot of people outside of the fanbases will tune in to watch a marquee match-up (Georgia vs Florida, Alabama vs LSU, Ohio State vs Michigan, etc), but to watch Georgia play Georgia with weird rules because the coaches are trying to see X in situation Y? Not going to appeal to anyone but UGA fans.

Exactly. I can watch all the Missouri volleyball games I want with SECN+/ESPN app, but I can’t even watch the spring football game.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "condensed" version that does away with all the stoppage, even if it wasn't live.

ESPN is a disease.
They killed my interest in the UFC.

Spring games are fcking terrible. If you actually watch them you are probably a huge loser IRL.

Anything dealing with football for you guys is terrible

This article says you can watch your full game online, instead of whiparound coverage:

To be fair to the UT fans, they don't have much to look forward to

I cannot imagine watching my own team’s spring game, much less another school’s.

Good idea to get the story straight before you go on a Jihad. Games can be seen mostly on Sec Network Plus. Wraparound is couple times when there are multiple games going. You need a wraparound.

to be fair, nobody wants to watch UTs spring game. Pruitt prob doesn't even want to have it televised

What I don’t understand is how ESPN thinks this will be good for them?
I get that spring games can be tedious and boring, but surely a full spring game broadcast of UGA, Bama, Florida, etc. will do better than whatever ESPN could air on a random Saturday in April.

Yeah spring games are beyond silly. Cannot imagine many people are watching Bama, OSU, OU, or Clemson’s games much less UT’s.

As long as every snap is uploaded to YouTube I don't care. Not really the type of thing you have to watch live.

You can watch the TEXAS spring game in its entirety on the Longhorn Network.

You’re on a football message board telling everyone they’re a loser for watching football.
