Which of these SEC schools will win a football national title first (if ever)?

South Carolina
Vandy
Kentucky
Missouri
Ole Miss
Miss St
Arkansas
Honestly, I think I’ll have to go with SC. They have the best combination of facilities and fan support of any of the teams on this list. It’s surprising that they haven’t already won one considering they’re in a recruiting hotbed, another reason that I think they’ll win one first. I just think they’re the most capable of getting high level talent, as they’ve proven in the past (Clowney, Lattimore).

Out of those, I'd honestly have to say Mississippi State is the most likely.

Really dumb thread as none are likely ever

Honestly can’t picture any of those teams ever winning one unless there’s some massive landscape altering change to NCAA rules. Parity in terms of winning a title in college football is at an all time low

The only way any of these schools win a title is if they somehow luck into hiring the next Dabo Swinney, and that’s incredibly unlikely.
The problem is that even if they did manage it they would still need to stave off other schools from poaching him, which requires money and lots of it. The only two schools on that list with even some semblance of a chance would be South Carolina and Arkansas. Of those two, I guess South Carolina would be my pick based on facilities and recruiting proximity.

Doesn’t matter. Coronavirus gonna kill us all anyways. :)
Arky or SC though. Maybe Ole Miss.

Already won a national title so I’ll go with them.

Of that group, Arkansas.
I know they've been left for dead, but they're kinda Tennessee-like; they have a history and some potential with the right coach.
It isn't all ancient history, either. Petrino had them rolling. In 2011, I honestly think they were maybe the 3rd or 4th best team around, just happened to be in the same division as LSU and Alabama.
This isn't to say they're the closest of the group, but I think the program has the highest ceiling of the bunch.

You don’t remember 1980 or 1942?

UK won it in 1950, so I'll vote Kentucky.

South Carolina could win one. They get the right coach and QB and it could happen.
Vandy, Kentucky, State and Missouri will never win one.
Ole Miss and Arkansas would need a Cam Newton/Tebow/Burrow level of player and one of those magical in state recruiting classes.
I think South Carolina is the only one that I could legit see winning one in my lifetime.
Hell I’d put their odds at equal to Tennessee.

Every school, except Vandy, has been ranked really high at some point fairly recently. It’s not that far fetched.
I’d pick Arkansas for no other reason that I think they could handle the pressure.
Maybe SC as they are kind of a sleeping giant.

Nope I wasn’t around 40 years ago, like Yale’s titles it’s irrelevant and useless

I’d have to say Georgia honestly.
