The best description I've heard yet, "Kirby's the Pat Dye of our era."

It’s the second week of the 4 week, fourth quarter program. Don’t get it twisted, the timing was orchestrated. Right smack dab in the middle of it. You don’t think Kirby could have waited 2 more weeks if he truly had good intentions?

The assistant S&C coach and the rest of the staff can keep the program running with ease. It's not a big deal at all.

But to essentially say that there is “no better time than late February to lose a s&c coach” is a little bit of an overreach.

You have to think this summer is going to be a ton more critical for player development.
I just want to say one thing about Scott Cochran. This is totally his call. His integrity, his love for the guys he recruited and guided at Bama as well. He's a big boy and if he's half the man his voice implies he should own it. If Bama fans want to point a finger, point it at the guy who left exactly like he wanted to. Kirby showed what his value system looked like long ago.

There are many months that would MUCH worse that February. I think you're overreacting quite a bit.

Lol...okay, whatever you say. Literally the only thing going on right now is workouts. The time of year where the most improvements in the gym are made. Seems like a pretty opportune time to have your head s&c coach. Didn’t realize there were “many more months MUCH more important” to have a head s&c coach. I’m not exactly following your logic here.

Georgia's special teams have suffered since the loss of Beamer. That's got to be a tough gig for a quick turnaround for a novice coach teaching his first class this spring.

He didn't recruit at Bama, but he can now.

This is going to seem sacrilegious for me to say as a Bama fan, especially considering that I really dislike Tennessee and I HATE Auburn. But Kirby has my feelings for Georgia at the level of HATE now. I may even hate them more than I hate Auburn, which is hard for me to believe. It's close.
I've disliked UGA for a very long time, because I have some extended family members who are Dawgs and they are literally the most obnoxious, ignorant fans I've ever met. I mean truly despicable sports fans. If you've ever lived in Georgia, you know what I'm talking about. The arrogance of Alabama with the trophy case of Vandy, as they say. So I've always disliked them but Kirby has been such a total arse in how he left Alabama, and how he has treated the guy who literally took him from a nobody GA, and turned him into who he is today. As the good book says, you reap what you sow and what goes around comes around. The day Kirby's career burns or UGA falls back into mediocrity (where they belong), is a day I will celebrate.

I personally don’t like Kirby and his take down Bama approach. Hope he fails miserably.

He is the second coming of Mark Richt. The timing of this was orchestrated. You go and hire Cochran as your special teams coordinator?? I get strength and conditioning, but smart willing to put Cochran in an on-field position suggests this hire is a vindictive, get-at Saban type hire. It was a hire Cochran away from Saban at all costs type deal.
Jesus, some of you people are stupid. Kirby wasn't even his first call.
Cochran has been pursuing a career change for a couple of months. Let the guy have his day and quit being a moron about it.
You HAVE to be an LSU alter. I refuse to believe that any Bama fan could be such a conspiratorial arse about a man wanting to improve his life.
