I’m not doggin’ on y’all at all.
But that sounds like a kid who’d built a relationship with Leach and was more focused on playin’ for him than for the school.
Happens all the time.
I’m a professor, and I have grad students who take that route to follow our research agenda regularly.

But he's never struggled getting QB's. They know what he can do for them despite being at poor football programs like State.

Big pull by Leach as it opens the door for a really good opening season and based on the kid’s success a transfer portal home for gunslingers.

It doesn’t matter if leach recruits well or not, he did well at Texas tech and at Washington. Neither of those places are easy to recruit good players to, and he never had a great recruiting class at either school. But he won..
