why would you jeopardize even college football players and let them sweat, spit, touch each other if you aren't going to let other spring sports do the same?
Especially when they think this virus will get worse before it gets better.

With the given escalating trajectory of the past couple days, you can reasonably assume it will eventually be downgraded to cancelled. Or maybe things will calm down. Who knows. I know the main goal is safety for the players but I wonder if the NCAA got carried away with the cancellations. The NBA will reevaluate in 30 days and that’s how it should be done. The twitter storm of whirlwind of emotions and being caught up in the moment sometimes makes its way to the top.

there is a reason sports leagues all over the world are being shut down.

I agree. I also think shutting down the CWS in June in the second week of March is unreasonable. Like I said, the NBA plan of re-evaluating in 30 days is preferable.
Obviously some events like the SEC tournament would have to get cancelled.

Yes and no. I think reasonable people realize this thing will not be over in a month. I played the game. After not being on the field, for say four weeks, it would take a couple of weeks to be ready.
*Remember, students have been told not to set foot on campus after Spring Break. A lot of colleges are doing that.

So what’s the harm in axing it then, not now? Don’t just assume the hysteria will continue, see if it will pass and evaluate then.
Again I understand the safety aspect but what happens if we get ahead of it. What happens if we continue with conference season post April 10th and no players get affected?

To be truthful, even the reasonable people have no clue how this will escalate or deescalate. The experts have even backtracked on national tv.
Why? because the testing has been so weak and behind, they are only guessing b/c they don't have up to date data.
Saying all that, I agree with Jang, that there would have been no uproar if the NCAA had just said we will suspend all sports and reevaluate it's status April 1st. That gives them 2 weeks to get a better status from the medical community.
I understand that student athletes being banned from campus are not training or exercising due to not having access to the college training facilities, so they would have to revamp up. But that is a minor issue, to determining if spring sports is safe to continue. Less games means less stress on their bodies.
Just my opinion....

A few scattered notes:
-Marco Domio says he plans to move into Auburn May 25th. His grades are good to go now.
- Julian Nixon used to be a lock for Auburn. Received our first CB for him in 2018 maybe. But we are recruiting other guys harder now so KN’s CB for him is now foggy. Nixon is teammates with McLaughlin fwiw.
- Our staff may try to land another Aussie punter. They are communicating with people from Down Under.

Markus Burke to Florida
Smael Mondon and Barrett Carter to UGA

Fwiw in a more detailed KN insider regarding Domio, he’s supposed to arrive May 25th (unless the corona virus delays) but I’d no longer say he’s good to go. Domio tells Auburn fans not to worry because it’s just a couple credits he needs to take due to credits not transferring over. The tricky part is he says most of his classes are online but one is brick and mortar and postponed due to covid. It’s only postponed, not canceled. Worst case scenario he can finish the credit in the summer.

Hope that works out. The current punters they list that would be here in the fall are not good enough to me to be a consistent asset on special teams.

2022 Finkley up to a 4 star and 7th in state. 247 has him listed as a WDE but he will be a strong side player. He will close in and challenge Perry for the top SDE in the state over the next 2 years.

Micheal. Awesome family for sure.
