Until last week, if you selected "vs AP Top 25", Clemson was not listed.
Clemson has the #1 pass defense, but against ranked opponents is behind LSU in pass defense eff. Clemson is 96th is total pass defense vs ranked opponents.
Clemson only has 2 INTs vs ranked opposition to LSU's 5.
Against ranked opponents, LSU is #1 in total offense and Alabama is #2. Clemson is 15th.
VS ranked opponents, LSU offensive output only drop by 13.9 yards per game. Clemson's drops by 121.4 yards per game.

Playing 1 ranked team through 14 games can do that to you.

Also of note,
Since the Ole Miss game - LSU is allowing 86 rush yards per game on 31 attempts per game (2.77 ypc).
That would rank 4th in the country for the season.
In that span, the defense is allowing 270 total yards per game, which would rank 3rd in the country for the season.

What's interesting is that Clemson could, theoretically, finish top 15 in total pass defense but be dead last in total pass defense vs ranked opponents after the LSU game.
LSU simply needs to throw for 484 yards against Clemson and they will be 114th in total pass defense vs ranked opponents. The best way for Clemson to prevent this from happening is to let LSU score so fast that they run the ball the entire second half.
If Burrow throws for his average, Clemson will finish 105th vs ranked opponents - tied with Mississippi State.

Bill, Bill, Bill...
This thread is dedicated to the "Clemson context" - all stats must be shown how it relates directly to Clemson's incredibly difficult season this year.
For example, in the last 4 games LSU has held three opponents under 100 yards rushing - Texas A&M, Georgia, and Oklahoma
In their last 4 games, Clemson has held two opponents under 100 yards rushing - South Carolina and Wake Forest.

SOOOOOO Close.
After the last game, Clemson finished 4th in pass defense - and 113th (out of 115 - not every school played a game against ranked opponents) vs AP top 25 teams.
