Bama fans, how do you feel about Dabo replacing Saban one day?

Is that really likely to happen or would there be any resistance to it?

Dabo will loose his touch before Saban retires or is forced out.

For starters, he won’t. Saban will be at Alabama at least 3-4 more years. Dabo has already created a powerhouse program at Clemson and will have been there about 15 years by the time Saban is gone, maybe longer. Wouldn’t be much of a point to leave. He’s a god at Clemson. He’d be just another coach at Alabama. Might have been a possibility 4 years ago, not now. Also a much much easier road to the CFP every year at Clemson and will for the foreseeable future. Why would anyone leave that situation?

I would love for Dabo to be the replacement. I don’t think he’d leave Clemson though.

Won't happen. He's been to 4 of 5 NC games and plays in one of the weakest conferences. He's literally on top of the world.
Personally, I don't care about the hokey shite, and anyone who does is fricking stupid. I'd take him in a heartbeat as long as he continues to put up championship teams. That's what a HC is for.

Bama fans love winning. Dabo is a winner.

At Clemson, Dabo has a direct path to the playoff for the next 12 years. No one to challenge him in the ACC now that FSU is down. Would he leave that set up?

He is not leaving the machine he's built in that junior varsity conference to come here.

This is already his 17th season at Clemson, an his 12th as HC. Only one of his kids is old enough to even remember living in Alabama, and the oldest two are Clemson students.

My wife went to Clemson, so I don't want him to leave Clemson but I'm afraid he would to go to Alabama, so he could lead a team hyped to be undisputed best ever like 2018 Bama and 2019 LSU. He's a competitor, he wouldn't be scared of coaching in the SEC. And he'd have the guaranteed mulligan loss that Bama (or any SEC champ) gets every year. He would want to try to win 29 in a row in the SEC, I can't imagine how much everybody would talk that up if it ever happened

Dabo “leave it to beaver” Sweeney wouldn’t work at Bama, I feel like they need a coach with a little bit of an edge to him.

I’ve been generally in favor of it for a while, but after seeing how much he triggers most of the non-Bama snowflakes on this board, I am now fully in favor and actively canvassing for him.

Can't see Bama's boosters getting behind Dabo's ministry:
