I believe that to be so. I also believe SOG is correct that any of those other qbs would have won the game. 2018 Jalen would have also won the game. He developed over 3 years better than about any qb I've watched.

Idk...he packed it in after he got the FAU job. I heard he was sabotaging shite on purpose against Washington
No offense but I don't believe that for a second

Blake Sims. Kiffin did an amazing job with him

Yep - guy deserves tons of credit for the way he grinded his arse off that offseason and then through the entire 2018 season after losing his job.
That Georgia game and his season at Oklahoma this year only happened because of the work he put in when most people would have sulked and given up.

So many opportunities to put that game away. That fumble in the shadow of the endzone, the Ingram fumble that bounced 25 yards or so right beside the sideline and out of the EZ, Richardson dropping the pass on the goal line, and he was a good receiver. Just bizarre.
Auburn averages 10 points of voodoo bullshite every Iron Bowl. It is what it is

Yea, I don't think any of it was intentional. I just think he was really excited and focused on getting a 2nd chance and it absolutely spilled over into his job at Alabama.
The Washington gameplan was an absolute mess.

Side note. He better step up I think LSU blows them out.

No, it wouldn't. Kiff had checked out and it became clear as a bell in the semifinal game.

It's not much of a stretch to just think about who was the biggest liability during any season of the Nick Saban era. It really has to be Jalen in 2016. And if not for Tua it would have repeated itself in 2017. That's a high bar to come up wanting in a championship game twice, but that was the kind of talent Jalen was surrounded with.
Talk about irony, G-Mac was terrible in 2009 overall and yet we were undefeated and won a NC. Julio Jones will never be in the College Hall of Fame because Greg couldn't throw the ball to the best receiver in college football and the NFL.

We could have Bill Walsh calling the offense and wouldn't have mattered with Jalen back there

I disagree. That was a clinic on how not to use what you have on offense in the most effective way. That Washington D had like three NFL 1st and 2nd round picks in their secondary, mind you.
edit: actually, looking back at the box sore, I thought that I remembered us trying to pass the ball more, but we only passed the ball 14 times, and ran it 50 times.
My only gripe with the gameplan looking back on it was that we kept trying to run the ball with Jalen and it wasn't very effective, besides 1 run basically. He ran it 19 times for 50 yards, with one of those being a 33 yard run.

Probably called a lot more passes than that. If I had to guess a lot of those were of the old roll right and run for two yards variety.

yeah that is a great point. I would like to know how many times we dropped him back to pass that game. That is probably why I remember it like that. I remember that happening over and over again

Coker stringed together a bunch of stinkers during the regular season but ole boy came through when it mattered most.
From the SECCG through the national title he was on fire.

Would have been Coker but he played maybe the 2 best games by our QB this decade in the playoffs.
Coker isn't even close to being the worst. Even before the playoffs, his 4th quarter comeback vs. Tennessee and his TD pass to Stewart at Auburn were special.

He was the fricking SECCG MVP. In his first career start, he hit Marquis Maze with a bomb to start a 4th quarter comeback. He was far from terrible.

This one is easy but I can't say anything bad about the guy.
