Per SEC Statcast Chase had the highest drop rate from WRs in the SEC this year.

Wide Receiver Drop Rate - SEC
1. J. Chase (LSU) (8.33%) (9 Drops)
2. Q. Davis (A&M) (7.78%) (7 Drops)
3. S. Williams (AUB) (7.07%) (7 Drops)
4. E. Moore (OM) (6.90%) (8 Drops)
5. A. Schwartz (AUB) (6.12%) (3 Drops)

10. J. Jeudy (BAMA) (3.92%) (4 Drops)

Interesting. Chase had drop problems last year. I feel like Jeudy's drop against LSU was season-breaking. Jamar has not dropped yet when it's mattered.

Well that kinda sucks. Hope Chase can grow out of that.

Jeudy is more ready for the NFL right now. Hopefully Chase can be there in another year.

I remember one drop by Jamar this year. I’m not saying he didn’t drop two or three more in garbage time, but he did not have nine drops.

Plus, most of Jeudy’s catches are glorified handoffs. Chase is actually catching balls downfield.

In no way am I dismissing your post I just have a questions as to self educate myself. I see people use these drop statistics all the time yet I’m not sure what the numbers mean. Is this the amount of catchable balls dropped or all passes his way dropped? Do they include passes where flags were thrown? Anything to help me understand the formula of drop rate would be appreciated. Also good post George I enjoy your content
