Yeah, everyone's cool with their son hanging out with people who plan on drinking and gun toting.

Everyone knows alcohol, drugs and guns are 1,000% nothing to be worried about.

Do you need to have a DUI to be a Georgia fan or something?

Are you against the 2nd amendment or something? Why do you keep mentioning a gun when it was his, he told the cop he had it, cop ran the numbers and it was legal?

I love the second amendment.

Dislike people driving around while drinking, doing drugs with access to firearms in cars they don't own.

How do you guys consistently just miss the context of the situation? The firearm wasn't listed because firearms are bad or scary, it was listed because they were driving with an open container and drug residue.

How do you guys not understand how bad this is?

-Driving in a Charger with a dealer tag.
-Driving with an open container.
-Driving with residual amounts of drugs.
-Driving without a valid license.

What a fricking idiot.

Don't worry Jort bro, he'll be back before the beatdown in Jacksonville next season.

So he was charged with drinking? DUI? I’ll extend an olive branch, what about a simple DUI less safe? That’s like mouth wash and driving.

You could get a job being a hysterical news reporter at this rate.

From the article in the OP.

Cook told the officer that he didn't have his license on his person, and when the officer checked with his central command, he found that Cook's Florida-issued license was not valid.

You said he was drinking.

If you want to take it back you can.

Driving without a valid license. Unlicensed driving is a misdemeanor. And a driver with an out-of-state license can also be convicted of a misdemeanor if he or she has resided in Georgia for more than 30 days but failed to obtain a Georgia driver’s license. In either circumstance, the maximum penalties are a year in jail and $1,000 in fines.

Maybe it was because he was black.

Or maybe there's a law.

I never said he was drinking. I'm saying that the combination of problems make it bad optically. That, admittedly, can be unfair, but driving around with drugs, guns, an invalid license and alcohol generally isn't a good thing.

Unfair or not, he's an idiot.

I knew plenty of out of state students who never got a Georgia drivers license.

Certain counties in Georgia have decided to stop enforcing certain things.

I don't know if anybody has read this article, I don't read it, but this was brought to me by a Ranter, of football. I think this is worth reading.

Let me tell you why I'm talking about this article. Three-fourth's of this is inaccurate. It's fiction.

And this article embarrasses me to be involved in athletics, tremendously.

That article had to have written by a person that doesn't have a child, and never had a child that's had their heart broken and come home, upset, and had to deal with the child, when he is upset, and kick a person when he's down.

Here's all that kid did- he goes to class, he's respectful to the media, he's respectful to the public, and he's good kid. And he's not a professional athlete, and he doesn't deserve to be kicked when he's down.

If you have a child some day, then you'll understand how it feels, but you obviously don't have a child. But I do.

If your child goes down the street, and somebody makes fun of him because he dropped a pass in a pickup game, or says he's fat, and he comes home crying to his mom, then maybe you'd understand. But you haven't had that. But someday you will. And when your child comes home, you'll understand.

If you want to go after an athlete, one of my athletes, you go after one that doesn't do the right things. You don't downgrade him because he does everything right, but maybe doesn't play as well on Saturday, and you let us make that decision. That's why I don't read the newspaper, because it's garbage. And the editor that let it come out is garbage.

Attacking an amateur athlete for doing everything right. And then you want to write articles about guys that don't do things right, and downgrade them, the ones that do make plays.. ARe you kidding me? Where are we at in society today? Come after me, Im a man, I'm 41. I'm not a kid, write something about me, Or our coaches.

Don't write about a kid that does everything right, that's heart is broken, and then say that the coaches said he was scared, that ain't true! And then say we made that decision because Donovan Woods threatened to transfer, that's not true! So get your facts straight.

And I hope someday you have a child and someone downgrades and belittles him, and you have to look him in the eye and say you know what, it's ok. They're supposed to be mature adults but they're not. Who's the kid here? Who's the kid here, are you kidding me? That's all I got to say. MAkes me want to puke.

Let me cut through all this diatribe....1980
