Some of you continue to doubt to the coaching prowess of Coach Ed Orgeron, but let me put this into perspective for you.

Read the whole post before down voting.

This goes back to the year Derrius Guice graduated. The coaching staff knew we didn't have a clear cut premier running back as we had in the preceding years. The game plan had to change.

Coach "O", at the behest of a staff member took a look at Joe Burrow, and thought "we might have something here". So he lands JB.

So we go into the 2018 season running a very similar scheme to what Les Miles was running. However, as the year progressed, culminating in a 7 OT loss to aTM. He started to recognize the mismatches we could exploit.

Then he looked at the rest of his offensive talent, realized that we had WR's 3 deep that would play on Sunday As well as a Tight End to compliment.

Orgeron, knew he had a Ferrari. Being self aware, he knew neither himself, nor any of his current staff knew how to drive said Ferrari. So he goes looking for someone who knew how to take advantage of the offensive weapons we had. Enter Joe Brady.

Brady installed this pro-style spread that would compliment our strengths, and take advantage of the mis-matches our WR's presented to the opponent.

So the season begins, and surprisingly LSU is unable to run the ball without any consistency. There was a reason for that too. That reason was because the offensive line had spent the better part of the spring and summer, learning how to keep Burrow upright...pass blocking. The running game eventually improved because the defenses had to commit so much of their time game planning the explosive passing attack.

Joe Burrow is a once in a generation talent, but his success was a direct result of careful and humble coaching.

So you guys go ahead and continue to see Ed Orgeron as the "Forresy Gump" of college football. In the mean time, he'll continue to spank your respective asses.

Can't understand why this would get downvoted. I thought it was a solid post, OP.

Burrito is an all American qb. Leave it there.
O had enough sense to hire Brady because last year was a bust due to wrong offense that was run.
Props to O.
Let’s see what next year brings. AA qb are hard to find.

Well, the SEC passing record, TD record, and NCAA completion record say otherwise.

But I’m sure you’re gonna tell us that Gay Cammie was a better QB.

Ed Orgeron is as close to being legally retarded a head coach has ever been, losing to him should be the end of Gus

Well, you'd be wrong. But clearly the retard OP doesn't understand the concept of a generation because we've already had a few of those once in a generation QBs in this generation.

If the state of Louisiana taught reading comprehension you'd see I said Gus should be fired for losing to him dickhole. If they ever make a movie about O Chris Burke will play the role without auditioning

Coach O got to coach Burrow because of Tom Herman

quote:

“I owe a lot to Coach Herman. He was really the only coach from a big-time program that had any faith in me,” Burrow said in a YouTube video shared by Tiger Details. “There were a lot of people from inside the (Ohio State) program that didn’t really feel like taking me. Coach Herman turned the table for me, so I owe a lot to Coach Herman. He is a great man and a great coach.”
