Lawyers (not all) are the reason we don’t just treat this like the flu

Having read the schedule for LSU’s “reopening”, and all the comments related to that schedule I wanted to just say that LSU, and all other colleges, universities, and public schools are in a no win situation. If they just open back up without appearing to be following the CDC’s recommendations, they open themselves to droves of ambulance chasers. They have to make a good faith effort to open responsibly, but rest assured, the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, etc. will not cancel college football. They simply can’t afford it.
They will, and constitutionally must, make it the responsibility of the individual to protect themselves, and let Darwinism do the rest.
The Democrats sacrificed a chicken, and asked Satan to send a pandemic so they could get rid of Trump, and scare the shite out of people for their own agenda (see Patriot Act).
But they fail to understand that we’re not all Sheople, and some of us can read.

With every bit of honesty I can muster, I’m afraid of what this country will become if he doesn’t get to finish the job.

Additionally, the only person I trust to tell the truth about anything is Trump. He says, tweets, ridiculous stuff which indicates that he has no inclination to mislead. Any person who has made the kind of allegations Trump has made, simply has no “censor” button. Even if I don’t like it, at least I know it’s the truth.
1 Nation Under Trump.

As of late, I’ve found myself really starting to doubt Trump, though I’ve been a huge Trump supporter. So I decided to watch the above entitled documentary.
The documentary largely displays his public speaking engagements, thus really delineating his platform. And he is dead on about our foreign policy, with regard to trade deals, places we’re spending, and the massive delta between what’s actually going on in our country, and what is being reported.
Maybe Germans, but it is a definite must see for every person, whether you support Trump or not.
Fire away.

Brady was hired for one year...maybe 2.

I think some people are confused about the nature of hiring Joe Brady. He was never going to stay at LSU for more than a couple years.
His job was to teach others how to drive the Ferrari parked in the garage. It just so happened they, LSU, players and staff, caught lightening in a bottle, and to their credit picked up what Brady was putting down a lot quicker than expected.
We've had the players for years, but we didn't have the staff to put those players in the best possible position to succeed.
Joe Brady gave us the blue print to do that. It is a philosophy, not a method. He was brought here to drag LSU out of the dark ages. It was never a marriage, just a means to an end.
It is the turning point for LSU Football. Yes, it will take a couple years to replace the exodus of coaches, but it was Ed Orgeron who realized there needed to be a change, and it was Ed Orgeron who orchestrated that change.
It will likely not be 2020, but we still coming!

This is how Auburn kept it close. Georgia. They'll need some misdirection plays to gain an advantage. Middle screens work great against a heavy blitz.
re: Do y'all think players/teams get intimidated?

I sort of disagree. Perhaps on the first couple series Clemson not so much. But when they get to see it develop and they have no idea who's where, I think the doubt will start to set in.

I played basketball so knowing we were huge under dogs only motivated me more.
But the idea of defending our 5 wr set would give me butterflies.
You don't want to be the one to get beat or get caught out of position. There is no way to anticipate the routes.

Unless OU is intentionally trying to hurt our players, LSU will be the one laying wood. LSU might make OU quit.
LSU getting punched in the mouth.
Posted by TheLibrary on 12/27/19 at 1:25 am
I'm so sick of hearing this shite. We literally get punched in the mouth every week. Effing Moo State hits harder than any Big 12 team.
If you think your sawed off, pillow fighting defense is gonna make LSU's knees knock, you are fooling yourself.
What? Do you think you're the only defense to lay the wood? We play defenses exponentially better than OU every week.
When it's all over, OU gonna need some Icy Hot.

Really, it's all about Jalen Hurts. Stop him, and we win going away.
Outside of Ceedee Lamb and Hurts, they've got no players that would even make LSU's roster.

Our defense got a swift uppercut from Ole Miss. It was embarrassing to a very proud defense. If I'm right, the coaching staff sees the similarity between the two teams. The players take it personally. They will be prepared for that offense
Hurts won't beat us with his arm. I'd be willing to wager that Hurts doesn't get 100 yards.
Geaux Tigers!!!

Looking to get hammered with some other LSU alum. This is a dream season. I just want to be surrounded by LSU fans when we win.

What if coach "O" sat Burrow?
Posted by TheLibrary on 12/17/19 at 8:18 pm
As a head coach he has to know Burrow's value is immeasurable. Really...what if, knowing Burrow would not make that decision, took it out of Burrow's hands.
These college games can't increase his value.
Honestly, as a parent, I'd wrap him in bubble wrap and put him in a vault.
Before you down vote, remember Frank Gore.

LSU wins/loses on the legs of Jalen Hurts

I know this isn't a giant news flash, but Hurts cannot beat us with his arm. They, LSU, cannot afford to lose contain on Hurts. Rush 4, put 7 in coverage with Delpit and queen playing the flats on both sides.
The success of Joe Burrow was not divine intervention

Some of you continue to doubt to the coaching prowess of Coach Ed Orgeron, but let me put this into perspective for you.
Read the whole post before down voting.
This goes back to the year Derrius Guice graduated. The coaching staff knew we didn't have a clear cut premier running back as we had in the preceding years. The game plan had to change.
Coach "O", at the behest of a staff member took a look at Joe Burrow, and thought "we might have something here". So he lands JB.
So we go into the 2018 season running a very similar scheme to what Les Miles was running. However, as the year progressed, culminating in a 7 OT loss to aTM. He started to recognize the mismatches we could exploit.
Then he looked at the rest of his offensive talent, realized that we had WR's 3 deep that would play on Sunday As well as a Tight End to compliment.
Orgeron, knew he had a Ferrari. Being self aware, he knew neither himself, nor any of his current staff knew how to drive said Ferrari. So he goes looking for someone who knew how to take advantage of the offensive weapons we had. Enter Joe Brady.
Brady installed this pro-style spread that would compliment our strengths, and take advantage of the mis-matches our WR's presented to the opponent.
So the season begins, and surprisingly LSU is unable to run the ball without any consistency. There was a reason for that too. That reason was because the offensive line had spent the better part of the spring and summer, learning how to keep Burrow upright...pass blocking. The running game eventually improved because the defenses had to commit so much of their time game planning the explosive passing attack.
Joe Burrow is a once in a generation talent, but his success was a direct result of careful and humble coaching.
So you guys go ahead and continue to see Ed Orgeron as the "Forresy Gump" of college football. In the mean time, he'll continue to spank your respective asses.
