Was on the Morning Rush for about a 15 min interview.

There was the generic questions as well as some that got some good answers.

Pittman really harper on recruiting and how much he learned at Georgia under Kirby and then was asked about the early period and hard it is on a school that fires a coach. Was also impressed with Morris' leftover recruiting logistics guys.

He said he's interviewed 2 OCs and hopes to have one named soon and said he wants to surround himself with coaches that talk to kids and interact with kids just like he and Odom do.

Leads me to think Long is totally out since he's bacially Petrino lite.

Also said he will have as good of a staff as anyone else in the country and believes Odom is the best DC out there.

Said he wants a tough, big, physical and fast team that runs the ball and runs it out of an RPO offense with a TE.
Said he doesnt like both edges exposed and that it puts too much pressure on your line.

Also said he's slept about 4 hrs a night and wouldn't trade it for the world. Best 8 days of his coaching life. Dude was just honest in all assessments and knew he could get it done because of the programs focus on recruiting.

Another nugget was that he was offered an OC position previously by Odom.

Dude is the genuine article. Really hope it works out for him.

Good thing he didn't take it or he'd still be OC at missouri saving odoms job or they'd be promoting him to HC.

Hopefully Briles is one of the OCs interviewed. At least kick the tires there

Does Briles run the style of offense that Pittman wants? Seems like it would be a weird mesh of philosophies.

He runs a balanced offense but a prolific one. People see the name Briles and think he’s air raid.

It isn't air raid, but it's certainly a spread. Spread about as far wide as you can possibly spread the field too. Very slim chance Pittman would consider something like that as it is antithetical to his idea of winning the game on the line with the largest line he can possibly have.

Whoever it is will be someone with more power mixed in their bag, imo. Someone from the Petrino tree would be ideal in my mind.

Has he said this? Or are we assuming that's what he'll want based off of how the linemen were while Bert was here

Oh please tell me your inside knowledge of how I'm ignorant. Unless there's some magical third person with the last name Briles y'all are reffering to, you're talking about two humongous piece of shite human beings that anyone with an ounce of conscience wouldn't want around their program.

I’m pretty sure most don’t lay what happened at Baylor at Kendall’s feet.

Obviously not at his feet alone, but to act like he was totally innocent and had no knowledge of what was going on is total bullshite. It would be extremly naive to believe he didn't play a part. There will be articles written about his hiring being ethically questionable, because there have been an every other stop he's been to. There are still open title IX lawsuits against him and they would be brought up on a national level were we to hire him and him have success. He's never apologized or acknowledged any wrong doing. Keep him the hell away from this football program.

I understand but you don't do that by compromising your morals and potentially putting the school in a horrible spot. The man carries with him a mountain of baggage and it's not worth it at all.

Right and that is a perfectly good stance to have. I don't share your same thoughts about his son though. I was totally against the idea of Art when his name was brought up a few weeks ago though.

It is probably my personal bias but I have seen too many good kids get wrapped up in the sins of their father. Not saying that Kendall is innocent or the above applies to him but I haven't seen enough to write him off like his dad yet. That could all change if/when more information comes out.

There's a mountain of baggage he brings with him, and I don't want it to unravel here. The last thing we need is a national media led, negative press shite storm and that's the pandora's box we open up if we were to hire him.

Eh, there is no guarantee that it will happen like that. If the OC choice comes down to Long or him, I could get behind your line of thinking and say just hire Long. But if its Kendall or big step down in the OC department, I'll take Kendall. I'm not going to argue against you regarding a risk, there certainly is one. I do feel better about the fact we are not the first P5 program to give him a job though.

He’s already coached at two different schools. If there was some terrible dirt to dig up on Kendal briles it would’ve came out before now. Just my opinion
